Hey, I downloaded this mod using the mod manager and it straight up deleted almost everything in all of my storage. Anything with a recipe affected by the mod was wiped clean from anywhere except my personal inventory. What gives?
We're going to wait for you to update; the mod is wonderful and we hope you're able to resolve the troubles you've encountered, while still maintaining your sanity and Real Life.
I have discovered why some people are having an issue with the workshop items are installing this mod. I build this mod referencing the .pak file from my version of the game. I bought a version of Icarus that included all DLCs, present or future, while it was still affordable. As a result, my mod is only compatible with Icarus if you have all the DLCs. I will release a vanilla compatible version this month and will continue to support the All DLCs version as I have been.
I have been noticing an issue with OneDrive on my PC. My fix was to delete OneDrive, but another fix could be to ensure that mods are not being extracted from/to a OneDrive synced folder (e.g. Desktop, Downloads). Also, the author of IMM stated that his program needs to run from the Program Files (x86) directory. Full instructions are at https://youtube/kpLynnXJzSE?si=dvASv517MTG_N7dK. If that doesn't work, I would check the integrity of Icarus in Steam and reinstall IMM to be sure. The mod is as simple as it gets. It modifies one JSON file in the library of Icarus with different quantities for the variables (e.g. 1024 changed to 2048) keeping the integers divisible by 8 to ensure compatibility with the black-box code.
Great news everyone! I figured out how to reduce the number of breaks to my mods caused by the game's weekly update. My mods are now in EXMODZ format and can be downloaded directly from the database in IMM. To access this database, run IMM, click Download Mods, select my author name (Intreeg), and double click the mod named "Intreeg's More Resources". This version should be resistant to breaks but probably need to be fixed for any new DLCs. Going forward, I will be releasing updates directly to the IMM.
I just did a fresh install of Windows 11 and decided to *seriously* use the OneDrive feature for the first time. Mostly I thought OneDrive was a waste of money solution looking for a problem. Now I know it is that AND it does not play nice with IMM. If you are going to use this feature, be sure not to store, source, or install IMM or the mod files in folders affected by this program. Also, have discovered in my troubleshooting efforts that IMM doesn't always completely remove uninstalled mods. I found remnants in the tempMOD and Extracted Mods subdirectories of IMM.
Remove the old version entirely... - Opening the Icarus Mod Manager (IMM). - Click the "Remove All Mods from Game" button in the bottom right column. - In the Extracted Mods column on the left, right click the old "Mike's Overhaul". - Click "Delete Mod"
Install the new version... - On the top right column of IMM, click "Extract Mod from PAK File. - Navigate to the .pak file in the Mike's Overhaul directory. - Click on the .pak file. - Click Open. - Wait for the text output at the bottom of IMM to read "Extraction complete!" - Double click on "Mike's Overhaul.pak", in the left column and any other mods you want to install. ***Note: Any mods that target D_ProcessorRecipes.json will likely cause a glitch.*** (My favorites are the Overhaul, the doubleEXP mod from Nexus Mods, and MorePoints from the IMM Download Mods menu) - Click "Install All Listed Mods" in the column titled "Mods to Install:". - Wait for the "IMM_Merged_Mod was Created" message in the IMM text output. - Close IMM. - Enjoy.
Tracking a bug with the new seed pouch but not sure if it is the base game or my mod that is causing the craft recipe to not show up. Since this one is proving hard to pin down, I will wait until there has been a debug in the base game for this feature or 2 releases as the fix may go unannounced.
It's definitely odd. I'm not sure but it looks like all the Hypatia stuff disappears from the tech tree and crafting benches. I remove the mod it's all there then add the updated mod and it's all gone again.
