In order to do this on the Xbox version, you have to follow step 1 normally and install the newest version of ReShade + Add-Ons.
Since you can't directly select the .exe for this version, you have to navigate to the game's content folder (C: > XboxGames > Indiana Jones and the Great Circle > Content) and select "gamelaunchhelper" and then Vulkan.
Install this mod and extract the files into the Content folder.
Xbox games don't have a dedicated place for "Launch Options" so you must create a desktop shortcut from TheGreatCircle.exe file, right-click, and go to properties. Add a space at the end of the line and paste +r_allowBlackListedLayers 1
Then click apply and launch from that shortcut. Keep in mind that you will ONLY be able to use this mod if you LAUNCH FROM THE SHORTCUT.
Also in my experience, I learned that this method only functions if you use GreatCircleFix from GitHub.
"add a space at the end of the line and paste"... where and how do I do that? I assumed you meant the Target in the Shortcut tab of the shortcut properties, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Do you mean inside the quotation marks or outside? I did install the GreatCicleFix but can't get it to work. Could you help?
Cerskelunt thank you for the additional UWP directions. Worked perfectly after following your instructions and installing Reshade Vk although I did have to point Reshade to the game directory for the Addon to work. For some reason it wasn't working with C:\Program Data\Reshade (even though the .addon and .ini were in that directory).
If you want no HUD and no Crosshair, you have to download this https://github.com/Lyall/GreatCircleFix . Copy all files into gamedir , open up the game and press ^ or ~ to open console, enter following lines,:
I don't want to remove the HUD per se, I just want to hide that stupid white dot in the center of the screen that should have already been toggleable in the game's Accessibility menu. Any hopes this could have a "Hide white dot only" companion mod? :)
Hey thanks for this. Can you save by entering "save" in console or will it remember? Console is ~ key?
edit; yes for anyone who doesn't know you bring up console with ~,
and you are a legend for this, that stupid dot was driving my "can't NOT notice annoying things" part of my brain nuts! Do you have a reference to more console commands for this title?
Ever since the update I can't get this mod working. Installing Reshade w/ Vulcan gets me nowhere - no overlay in game at all. Installing with DX gives me Reshade in game but this mod doesn't work with it?
Thanks for the reply. If you have a display setting on 4k and are running 120+ smooth fps when it drops to 60fps the shutter is so bad that it will drive you crazy. Looks awful. Jittery and stuttery. It's jarring.
Movies are not the same as game cutscenes when it comes to FPS.
Plus, it was unlocked from the beginning. They allowed for it to be 60+ fps. But for whatever reason they decided to cap it to 60 fps with the latest update.
Oh it's cool man. I wasn't expecting you to. Just giving the issue some attention.
Holy s#*!, thank you. I guess I wasn't properly capping for Gsync. I was capping at 120 and 117 seems to have smoothed it out significantly. Only problem now is that there's a slight microstutter. Question though: are you playing with Framegen on? And if so, are you using the latest frame gen dll? Also, should I cap in-game to 117 fps too even if I have framegen on?
My bad if this is the wrong place to ask, but has anybody figured out how to turn off the game's vignetting effects around the corners of the screen when going into crouch mode?
I get why it's there, but much like Dishonored and Cyberpunk, I think the devs might've overdone it a bit. Stellar game all the way, though.
Strangely i can get reshade to work with either DX or Vulkan. This mod works only with Vulkan, but even more strangely Vulkan api have cca 50% performance hit for me :/
If this other HUD off option through console from https://github.com/Lyall/GreatCircleFix/ does not affect performance, then the most ideal HUD off option would be to hide only the dot and lower left health icon with the rest in it, if it's possible.
Edit: Saw that there is the g_overrideCrosshairStyle 0 command that only hides the dot. Is there also a command that hides the lower left health icon with the rest in it?
If you hit "g" then "tab" it should bring up a list of commands. There is a lot of them yuor best bet would be to look them over. I tried but eyes started to hurt lol.
I put your files in ProgramData / ReShade to make ShaderToggler appear in Addon tab but no shortcut is working. Playing on Gamepass version, added +r_allowBlackListedLayers 1 to the shortcut. Any idea ? Thanks
Same here. Playing on Gamepass version. Dont know where to put files because none of the options here is working :D
EDIT: The problem was on my side: I skipped the add-ons installation during the initial installation of ReShade. For the Gamepass version, you can follow these steps:

I'm sorry but I don't know how to unlock the fps for cutscenes.

For the Gamepass version, you can follow these steps:
+r_allowBlackListedLayers 1
"C:\XboxGames\Indiana Jones and the Great Circle\Content" +r_allowBlackListedLayers 1

To skip the intro video, add this parameter to the Target field:
