Mod works great, but the stacking messes with a lot of automated jobs (farming, cooking, hauling) as workers tend to take too many units and then hoard them. As the creator suggested, changing the mod settings fixes it, I'll just give you the steps to do it:
Open the FCS (Forgotten Construction Set) in your kenshi folder Select this mod from the list Click on Changes in the navigation bar It'll list all of the items this mod modifies - Simply go through the list and update what you need, which won't be a lot of things: Food Source, Raw materials, Water, Cooking materials
I found out the hard way that this mod breaks the save game and no longer loads, it just crashes the game to the desktop. That happens after a while, when a lot of items (especially food) are stacked because the limits are ridiculously high. I had to import the game twice losing all the buildings and didn't know why. I had to make my own mod to avoid this.
Bug: People that are ordered to haul bread, won't put the bread in the basket if the bread is stacked. I have to manually split one bread out of the stack to get the hauler to put the bread in the basket.
I rather have bread not able to be stacked and removed from the mod, rather than have to micro-manage the kitchen constantly. Especially when I am away from my base.
been a year but here we go, go to fcs - deselect all other mods (the lower panel) except stackable items mod (it now should say *ACTIVE* after the mod name) - select "DONE" - select "CHANGES" at the upper panel (it'll open a new window which shows every changes [blue] or addition [green] from the mod) - search for "BREAD" and double click it (it'll open a new window which show the data of item bread) - look for "STACKABLE" (it'll be highlited in blue) right click it - revert value - save the mod on the upper left corner, i tried it and it does work fixing the bread problem!
NOTE! This mod does not include stacking for the [Press] item which is used to make skeleton muscles, nor does it include the eggs from creature nests, CPU cores, Luxury Goods, Lanterns, nor severed limbs
Good and simple mod to reduce some of the grind; does break alot of job automations. Well technically doesn't break; but makes it wait until 1000 STACK before delivering to inventory and shipping off to storage.
Quick fix is open the mod in the kenshi mod manager; goto "changes" button on interface and reduce stacks to something a bit more palatable (ie: 50).
Typically you will hit this on copper/iron resources at first (probably others after).

How did you add the line "stackable" on an item?
I can't seem to change anything on the right side of the "item" side

Edit: Found out you can fix this issue with FCS
That mod changes the mesh of foodcubes into cubes. Will this trigger the conflict caused by 'changed' items?
