This mod does not touch grass, but may shift around the resources based on old rusted junk meshes a bit, or in rare cases cause some to disappear. Had to be done to increase FPS in the areas with lots of metallic junk. I have no way around this currently. It's not that bad, really. The position and quantity of those nodes stays roughly the same. Fixed that tree blocking the entrance into the mechanical shop in Shark. Changed the latest version so that you know that you need to download the fixed one. x4 is fine.
If you are having trouble with frames in Kenshi this mod is a great help! Add this ontop of a couple other "preformance fix" mods and you'll have a lot more smoothier Kenshi experience for sure.
I had installed alot of mods and lastly resorted to trying to tweak out some fps gain so I could leave shadows (mostly) enabled w/RTWSM and actually put the 2x version of this mod in last and finally gave the FPS Boost needed. Working so far on new game (or import) Kenshi playing .. 1.0.55 x64 (Newland).
EDIT: Ran into a problem in Admag's Weapon Shop unable to enter. Disabled this mod and imported and was able to enter. UPDATE: Swapped to the %50 version found on steam, forgot reading about the CTRL+SHIFT+F11 workaround...
Hey there, in my game I noticed that the bridge in Rebirth is impassable, which messes up the path-finding and can lead to a lot of deaths. Disabling this mod seems to fix that issue. Any ideas if this can be fixed?
Hey. Try to enable the mod and rebuild navmesh when you're near the bridge. (CTRL+SHIFT+F11) As far as I know there's no problems with the bridge. If it isn't blocked by a tree or a rock, this mod can't have anything to do with it.
You're right, it seems like the issue was gone when I tried starting a new game with the mod enabled. Something must have been wrong with my save; even importing didn't resolve it. I have no idea why disabling this particular mod seemed to fix it earlier. Thanks for the swift reply, in any case!
The x2 version, and possibly other versions, ironically enough seem to add a tree that is right in front of the "Big Shop" in the northwest area of Shark entirely blocking its entrance.
Pics below, confirmed using import function and toggling the mod on and off. Pre-less foliage and rocks is top, post is bottom.
I'll look into that. Thank you. For now you can remove the tree via in-game editor, but you can't cause it's a lie. :/ You can move the shop, but that's bleh. I need to move that tree. So wait, please. I know how to fix that, but it will take some time. The reason is I have to download blender, get the Kenshi plugin for it, then search for that tree mesh for quite a long time, then adjust the value for it a bit, so it won't generate on top of this shop entrance. If anyone have a better way to view through Kenshi meshes, please tell me. There are other reasons also. Maybe ten days. Today is 23 June 2019. Will try to fix before the end of the month. Bear in mind that you don't need an import for this mod to apply its changes, so play as you will, and I'll fix it. Soon. I hope.
This mod may also conflict in a similar fashion with "Fungoid". At least, an area added by that mod has a rock spawning in the entrance and it could be caused by the same issue as the tree in Shark. Might be worth looking into that.
It would be awesome to have this fixed. I have no idea how to remove trees in the editor.
Yeah, I'm looking at that tree right now... And sorry for disinformation, it seems that you can't remove a tree in the editor. Will try to find it now. x4 version is fine, by the way. It only appears in x2.
Hi, great mod ! Great fps gains, and less useless clutter.
About the tree in shark : it's really easy to remove. 1 - Open the dev-tools (shift+f12) and go to "Navmesh tools". 2 - Click on "Roads" and then on "Foliage removal". 3 - Click on the ground on the base of the tree and drag the mouse away to create a zone around it. - (optional) - if you messed up the placement of a zone, you can right click on one to remove it 4 - Save and reload your game. Tada ! The tree should be gone.
It doesn't work or instructions are unclear. Testing possible fix now. If it works, you won't need to do all this. :3 Ayep. Fixed. Daymn, I'm happy about it. Tell me if anything else borks.
Thank you so much for this mod words can't describe how much it helps. A friend brought this game to my attention and i instantly fell in love with it but the sheer amount of foliage and debris hurts my fps particularly in the swamp.
