So far I've encountered 2 minor issues: 1. Seems like there's no entry for the Assassin's Rag. 2. I tried researching Empire Samurai Armor, but the blueprint doesn't show up at all in Crafting. Not sure if it's something on my side or not.
Hey guy, thanks for the comment and the compliment! I am way more active on Steam than Nexus, though I do try to check on my mods for new comments at least once a week, if I have time to.
That said, I have already replied to your comments on Steam and am looking into these things.
I didn't include Assassin's Rags, so they are not currently available to Reverse Engineer (RE). I can add them but I can't recall if I was aware of them when I made the mod and omitted it intentionally or just forgot them.
As far as the Empire Samurai Armor goes, everything looks correct. It does require Plate Armor crafting, so assuming you have that researched as well, it should show up in an armor bench.
That said, it's difficult to test this kind of thing as there aren't any native developer tools in Kenshi so preparing for this kind of testing is kind of exhausting. If you have a save file with a research bench, a piece of empire samurai armor, an armor bench and at least tech level 3, and can send me this save file, I would be happy to look into this right away. Otherwise, it will take some time.
I added the Assassin's Rag and the Empire Samurai Armor to the plate crafting bench. I mean to do this a few months ago, sorry I took so long haha You probably saw the update in the Steam Workshop before this but figured I'd update here as well.
This was the idea but I ultimately found a way to make researches consume weapons directly as its cost. This will be updated shortly with the most recent changes.
Yes, you have to edit the fcs.enum file. Around line 1550, I believe, there is a section called [RESARCH]. Change ITEM to WEAPON or ARMOUR or whatever it is you're trying to make to be the cost of the research item you're making.
