Based on feedback and after suffering for five hours to figure out how the bloody texture system works I've uploaded a version with a corrected spec map and adjusted diffuse map that should look less washed out and more saturated.

Yup, can confirm it's the right one. I downloaded it myself to make sure. The difference is very subtle but it stands out when you know what to look for. The yellow is less pale, darker, more saturated; and it contrasts much better off the black which is a deeper black than before instead of the hazy our-default-spec-maps-make-no-sense black it has by default. If you still don't notice it I'd say double check the mod folder and overwrite the .pak file manually just to make sure. Worth noting too is that the lighting in the inventory preview doesn't really do it justice, it looks much better in cutscenes than it did before when I released it initially. Let me know how it goes :) Edit: Ooh, also I increased the contrast on the sleeves too so the checkered pattern is more prominent.
It's not work like it should. Plus I found a bug with short swords. They simply disappear in scabbards and becomes invisible. A problem with short swords has gone after deleting this mode.
Mate that makes absolutely no sense. This mod only overwrites three .dds textures in the cloth folder. There's no way it would do anything to shortswords unless there's a compatibility issue with some other mod you have installed.
So, first of all, it changes all combat jupons and combat jackets, which is really not cool! Second, anyone having the color-too-bright-problem, simply got the wrong item.
At least for me the only item that worked correctly, was the Dark Combat Jacket https://kingdom-come-deliverance.fandom.com/wiki/Dark_combat_jacket
Maybe also, because there simply is no "Dark Combat Jupon", there is only a blue, brocade and a yellow one...
thanks for the awesome replacer! I was looking at increasing the saturation even more, is it necessary to edit both the spec and diff maps? When I open the spec map the image is all green, would increasing saturation have any effect here?

I have a lot of ideas for caparisons, waffenrocks, shields and etc... Because, I was thinking about having a better Brabant Coat of Arms mod a set for a caparison, waffenrock, and shield. When I was looking at the Brabant caparison mod from someone else the yellow background and black lion is a Flemish coat of arms while the actual Brabant coat of arms is only black background with a yellow/gold lion. Also a Flemish lion caparison, waffenrock and shield can work only with the yellow background and black lion and a House of Luxembourg Coat of arms that represents the King Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia. I know that you only replace them but WileCoyote68 can do a unique item add on for the special designs shield, caparison and etc...I get what I'm sayin?
Sadly that happened for me too. I love how it looks but can't get it to run proper. Still too flushed out. But I will try to do some tweeking and see what happens.
i really wish you dont lose your motivation/dont find yourself blocked because of the game technical issues, waiting for some cool new armors and weapons. thx for doing this.
That's the plan :) The game is sure buggy as hell when it comes to anything texture-related. The whole infrastructure they have set up is an absolute disaster compared to many other games where things are straightforward and labelled properly. Fair warning, I'm probably going to be AFK for a few months starting within the next few weeks so you might not see any new stuff being released before August, but I'm hoping to at least play around with a couple more textures or the WIP music mod I've been working on.
Okay so i think it might be a bug maybe or you did it on purpose. The Dark Combat Jacket was the only one to be retextured but i Saw Sir Istvan who wears a Black Combat Jacket have the same retexture.
Thanks for sharing! That's quite strange. I'm looking into it right now, doing a lot of trial and error with the spec,dt and diff maps to figure out what might be causing this issue. What are your graphics settings like?
