    Hey bro, I'm trying to find a mod (or at least one I can edit) that does what this mod does, except only for the Sinew Bow. I'm basically just trying to make the Sinew Bow be this ultimate endgame bow that can fire as fast as the Capon bow and only Henry can use it. Is that possible to do with this mod? I tried looking at the XML, but it seems to use general values to apply a draw speed change to all bows simultaneously.

    Do you think I should just look at your damage changing mod instead and try to make the Capon bow do the same default damage as the Sinew bow?

      I don't  know any way to adjust one single bow, they all use the same table. (the draw speed are in the same table, not all the bows and their stats in power ect,)

      I play with this mod combined with Overpowered Bows

      Thanks for your insights. I've found a jury rigged solution, but I still think there's more to this. We know that the bows in KCD take longer to draw the more powerful they are. Even modding an existing bow to be stronger will increase its draw time. However, not all bows have the same power/draw ratio. The Capon and Cuman bows are relatively faster firing than other bows of the same power level.

      What I ended up doing was editing your damage mod to make both the Capon bow and Sinew bow have 82 power, which is the Sinew bow's default power. The Capon still fires significantly faster than the Sinew. I figure there's got to be some value that accounts for this. In the XML of this mod is a value called "BowPowerToChargeDuration", which appears to be what sets the power/draw ratio in general. If there was a corresponding value that's specific to each bow's individual stats, then that might be what I was originally after.

      Nonetheless, I'm pretty satisfied with the workaround I've come up with, so don't worry about looking for this mythical value. There's no pressing need for it at the moment. Thanks again for your help.

      I got another idea. If I remember correctly there a "Adam's bow", it's unique and can be obtained by the "Cheat mod". If you get that bow and change the mod it should be a really fast bow.

      But anyway, Hans Capon's bow is also a good bow, and the solution to change the strength is a fine RPG-way.

      As it turns out, you're quite right. I edited your damage mod again so that it applies to Adam's bow instead of the Sinew bow. As it turns out, Adam's bow is even faster than Capon's bow when they're both equalised. It made playing through Theresa's DLC a lot of fun. Thanks for that suggestion.

      Glad it works as you wanted.

      It will be more fun in KCD-2, I foresee some fun mods when we can mod firearms,
      Henry's battle cry "Say Hello To My Little Friend" in best Al Pacino style, and preferably a pump gun if possible :D

      Hey Bludge, the stat to change may be the strength requirement for the bow. Draw time changes based on how much you are beating the draw time strength requirement by and Sinew bow has the highest requirement of all bows. Reducing the strength requirement may change its draw speed.

      That sounds fun. I just started my "you only got one life" playthrough. It seems like Henry have to be a chicken this time :P

      EDIT - I'm dead and dropped that idea :P

      Yeah im also on this guest "you only got one life Henry" I'm still in the beginning of the game, hardcore mode all negative perks, still havent died even as Theresa, almost once a but i wouldn't call it that henry died. But i bet i wont make it very far.

      I approach the game with way more care and i get way more stressed at certain situation. Its intense i like it. And chicken Henry is the way to go.

      Note: There a trophy for completing the game and don't kill anyone ..... That was the most boring I have done :D

      Not killing anyone is boring indeed. Yeah i will drop a comment when i died and how and how far i have come or if i won the challenge. Its super scary to do anything outside safe zones and at night i just sleep. 

      There should be an achievement with 0 deaths. Almost nobody would be able to get it. I think i will fail too at some point.

      I failed my challenge, at level 9 in skalitz, got cocky and went into an high level encounter. I was too tired to fight properly and also to make that decision on no die Henry was retarded. :( I was about to scout where Runt is. Now i go play this playthrough further because i never once finished the game. I know now better how to not die next time in such playthourgh. One of the most important things are, you need to learn master strike before doing camps or going into the world which is hard because you need to find Ginger before you get there, and there were 3 ambushes of which one almost killed me. 6 f*#@ing peasants and 2 polearm, survived with 4 hp somehow. Took several minutes to fight because i was only defending and my dog safe my life. They were not very keen on attacking the dog for some reason. And other thing is you need a horse with high courage because otherwise pebbles throws you off. And also a speedy horse is helpful, when they throw you off and your horse is very fast they are in distance behind you and you can get up on your horse and run away.

      I still will try to die as little as possible. The game flow is so much more fun like this, because saving and doing stupid stuff is not an option so the flow is really really nice.

    Hi Fantastic mod, thats has to be said first. The debuff value, higher is meaning more debuff or lower is meaning more?

      It's a bit early in the morning, but i will change the description later.

      "hard" is the one with fastest speed on the draw. But there only 0,5 sec difference (hard vs. easy) so try them both a see what you prefer.

      Good morning it is. My question was about the debuff value, not the duration. That i understand. I made the debuff value 0.01 and even 10 and i dont think it does anything. Hard to know, but it feels like on 0.01 there is difference in how strong the archery feels. Seems i need more arrows to kill. But i would expect a bigger difference between 0.01 and 10 value.

      Hmm, it's 4 years since I made this mod. I can't remember how that debuf works. Maybe it's removed.

    So if you choose "hard" it means that in best case your 0.05 seconds faster then a NPC (if you have max stats i bow).
    According to wiki, drawing speed is determined by Agility, not Bow skill.
    Also, does it preserve original behavior of different bows having different time to fully draw?

    This is perfect!

    I was playing around with bow and arrow mods trying to find what I liked best and this is it.
    This mod goes hand-in-hand perfectly with 'Near Perfect Arrows' mod. It gives the most pleasant feel compared to the all-in-one mods that change the draw speed and shot speed but they don't let you adjust it. These two mods have freedom to adjust. I love them.

    I hate speeding up the arrow shot speed since no one makes it correctly. It always messes with the character skeletons and ghosts through peoples heads and arms sometimes or the damage output is not calculated properly or worst of all the arrow fires an inch or two off to the left from the centre point we learned from vanilla and it's impossible to predict without the reticle which I don't want to use.

    This leaves the arrow speed alone but makes the draw faster and that's all I wanted. Makes a certain degree of sense too with that video since the draw strength of these bows can range up to 120lbs, which is almost impossible to pull back, so if you are pulling and releasing faster then arrow won't loose at it's full speed, thus the fast draw speed but same short distance shot. I mean that's just some "lore" to justify this mod with no arrow adjustment :P

    The point is, I endorse this fully and am very grateful you made this!

    Slight change request: Could you add the seconds it takes to draw the bow into the file names? On Vortex it just says easy normal and hard but I can see a month from now if I want to start a new game and change it I'll forget which one is faster or slower to draw XD

    MOD REQUEST: Can you make an optional mod to go along with this one that can remove the arrow trail? I know one exists but it'd be nice to have two mods from the same modder so I know there won't be a confliction with other mods by some random chance.

      Is "File description" now visible on Vortex?

      I have tried that mod and I had to do a patch work to get it to work with 1.9.6 like a lot of other mods, but as long as your mod loads first and that second there wasn't a conflict I could see. I even had a third arrow mod called Archery - Realistic Arrow Flight that changes the flight path of the arrows working as well. All three work fine together once they load properly as far as I could tell, I didn't do any in depth playthrough yet with all three to be fair, so grain of salt on how compatible they are :P but I have played through with your mod and Archery - Realistic Arrow Flight and they work perfect together 100%

      Here is a screenshot of how it looks like vortex, I don't have an option to see a description it just shows the mod file name itself for each version. It's not a big deal tbh I just figured I'd ask :P

    How can the charge duration be slower? Do you mean longer? Shorter? Please update the description because the words you are combining are not making much sense.

    And what does "hard-...-easy" mean? Game difficulty? How hard its to draw the bow back? :)

    Instead of hard, normal & easy... just do fast, normal, fastest.

    If anyone can just reply to this comment and say if hard is slowest draw speed or fastest and people can just refer to this comment for those who wonder about the same thing then that'd be great.

      As far as I can tell 'BowChargeDurationMax' is the speed of bow draw, so 'easy' is fastest draw.
      The wording is just awkward and the name of the effect completely counter-intuitive

      "Easy" have a timer on 1,5 sec and "Hard" have 1.0 sec. You draw the bow faster with "hard".

      The reason for the name is that NPC's also use the table, so there are shotting faster as well. If you counter a group of Cumans with 3-4 archers you will have a lot of trouble ;)

      I can change the names to "fast" - "faster" - "fastest" if you think that's more suitable.

    Do i just unzip the files into the Mod folder? or do i need to copy the .pak folder into the Data folder and add a line in the pak.cfg? also, do i need to input any console commands or add anything to the user.cfg?
