This mod allows them to "tackle" you permanently if you're not locked onto a target
I love the idea of it but I was repeatedly unable to do anything in combats against multiple enemies because I'm permanently being shoved around even by people in front of me that I'm engaged with because the game seems to think that I'm running away due to not being locked onto anyone.
Just posting so others don't think they're going crazy
I was able to turn it on by putting user.cfg in root folder, but it completely broke the combat. Now every time I get closer to the enemy, my character starts doing pirouettes, like if enemies were playing with me.
Thats just how the game is when you unlock from combat. There's this buggy ass mechanic where when they "catch up" to you they turn you around, but two stupid things: they can do that from a mile away, and they love to do it from an inch away, sometimes the moment you unlock. Hoping someone can mod it out because jaysus
It's a good idea, but doesn't work well. You can't target at all unless you attack. So, if you're doing the training session at the start, it won't work since you can target.
It doesn't work for me. I am playing on GoG and using Vortex to load mods, I also tried manual install as well.
UPDATE: I got it to work. Most mods are outdated and this needs an extra step just like the others.
-Move the user.cfg into the KCD root directory. --Create a 'Mods' Folder in the KCD root directory ---Create a new txt file called 'mod_order", open it in a text program and add 'RemoveAutoCameraLockInCombat' without the commas, then save ----make a folder inside the mods folder called "RemoveAutoCameraLockInCombat" -----Copy and paste 'user.cfg' file into that new folder
If you are using Vortex the Mods folder will already exist so just copy and paste the user.cfg to the KCD root directory and you are good to go.
Works well, I can survive more then 5 seconds against 3 soldiers now XD
No problem, thanks for the hard work in keeping this game alive and better then vanilla!
One thing about the instructions I laid out for 1.9.6, you have to copy and paste the user.cfg file into the main root directory as well. The instructions of making the mod folder are only for people who don't use Vortex since Vortex will already have a mods folder.
So for anyone using Vortex: - Go into the Mods folder in the root directory, go into the mod RemoveAutoCameraLockInCombat" -- Copy "user.cfg" -- Go back into the root directory and paste the user.cfg there
Anyone not using Vortex: -Move the user.cfg into the KCD root directory.
Hope that clears up my 4am ramble from before XD
Thanks again for the great mod and so glad to see you still around here!
But it doesn't work! Even if you use this together with No battle targeting, when the player gets hit by an enemy's combo attack or he dodges, the camera is stuck, it is simply impossible to escape from this block.

Personally I love wasting my time there rather then just pick-pocketing them but it doesn't accomplish much XD
Either way, it still doesn't work.
