As of September 2024 this mod is not abandoned, I'm just having a hard time replying to some comments due to real life keeping me busy.
I had to right click the pak file once it's where its going in mods, copy as path, and paste that into the pak.cfg file in data, remove the " ". After that it worked.
it copies the file path for that file (where its located)
go to the mod folder, click on the mod, go to data, right click on the UnlimitedSaving.pak file and click copy as path. Now back out of the mod directory and go into the Data folder and find pak.cfg and paste it in there without the quotes and it should work.
Once the mod files are in the appropriate folder, "Shift" right click the Unlimitedsaving.pak file, click "Copy as path", and go to the "Data" folder in the main game folder.
Find the pak.cfg file, open it with notepad++ or any doc opener.
Paste the text into this file and remove the quotation marks.
Save this document and boot up the game.
You should now have the ability to save without any limits.
Thank you so much, this fixed it for me. I wanted to use 2 other mods, 1 for now for getting dirty as frequently and another for skipping the grabbing a herb cutscene. Do uk ifthis is a fix for pretty much all mods?
The mod downloads three different versions of unlimited saving. Delete the fomod folder and the two versions you aren't using and it will load just fine, no pak.cfg editing needed. In the end your UnlimitedSaving folder should only have one Data folder and one mod.manifest file inside.
March 2025 - Steam This was the only thing that worked for me. I tried the other two versions (high save count, and alt) and they didn't work. Also tried comment about deleting the other two versions, but I didn't have them in the folder to begin with.
Copying the file path as explained in the comments worked, I can now save without snapps. Thanks!
Just my added find. I installed mod with Vortex and tried this and it didn't work. Then I realized the UnlimitedSaving.pak file in the mod data directory was actually a shortcut to a different path in my user profile. Once I copied that path into the pak.cfg file, all worked as it should!
Tired manual and automatic vortex install. Neither are working for me for some reason. Still is depleting the Savior Schnapps on saves. Update: got it working by following the instructions in previous post.
Woo, hella nice! Works like a charm! (Steam; Manual install) Just followed install instructions on the description page (didn't have to do anything else, like that "copy as path" stuff), and everything works awesome!
Frickin' fire work on this, EddieShoe and Biosmanager! THANK YOU for this mod! Endorsed and Kudos! \o/ ♥ :)
Your mod saved my sanity. LIFESAVER. I WAS GOING TO THROW MY PC OUT THE WINDOW STUPID FKG SAVE SYSTEM....
Normal Mod version worked for Epic Store version.
Extract the contents into c:\Games\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods\
Your c:\Games\KingdomComeDeliverance will be different on your machine, look in the Epic > KCD > Manage > Open installation location, and create a Mods folder if its not there already
For me it doesn't work, i have tried alt mod and the other one but still nothing, still have to save with schnaps. The save system makes the game unplayable for me personally so it is a bit depressing that i can't get it to work.
No, I had the same error. Close the game open the main game folder, go to Data and delete "pak.cfg" file. The go to steam, right click on game -> Properties -> Installed files -> Check files for errors -> and let it run. After this it will work as it should be.
