For those having issues this is how to get it working without vague instructions. Spoiler: don't even download this mod.
1. Steam --> KCD --> browse local files -Make sure you have/make a Mods folder and inside make "mod_order.txt" 2. Download "Cheat" mod, unzip with winrar or 7zip and add contents of main folder to "Mods" 3. In "mod_order.txt" (open with notebook) type "Cheat" and save. (Should be name of cheat mod you unzipped) 4. "Cheat" folder --> Data --> data.pak -OPEN DATA.PAK WITH WINRAR -Don't unzip it. Just open with winrar and edit it there. 5. In winrar: Scripts --> autocheat.lua 6. Copy/paste the commands you want at the end of what's already there. Here are some:
I know this is a dumb question, but the only cheat I want to work is lockpicking. will following this cause all of the cheats to work? or will following this only enable lock picking?
I did exactly what he said and it worked for me. I'm not familiar with the game as this is my first playthrough but from what I've seen the cheats are disable apart from the lockpicking and pick pocketing. I was close to quitting the game because of the lockpicking since I play with a controller and I found it impossible so I'm glad this mod exists
This comments does not make any sense. What "cheat" mod are you talking about? The mod is called "NoLockpicking" nothing with cheat. In the data folder is no data.pak . There is however a Scripts.pak but in the is no autocheat.lua file.
Please edit your comment and elaborate what you mean.
run with steam versin 1.9.6.404.504.czi3 in steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance create folder mods download requirement cheat (https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/106) there insert the extracted cheat folder go to \Mods\Cheat\Data - there should be data.pak rename it to Mods\Cheat\Data data.zip open with 7zip the the data.zip double click on the scripts folder select the autocheat.lua extract the autocheat.lua to desktop open the autocheat.lua with editor under System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_eval cheat:logInfo(\"autocheat.lua test\")") insert the codes without -- System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_stash_lockpicking") System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_door_lockpicking") System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_lockpicking") System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_pickpocketing") save the autocheat.lua then insert the autocheat.lua pack in the data.zip\Scripts\ in 7 zip. overwrite the autocheat.lua when question is asked then exit 7 zip and rename it back to data.pak in kingdom come open with °^key or ~ the console in the console should now appear after running autocheat.lua test Info Stash Lockpicking disabled... .... (rest of insert commands) works perfectly fine as it should
It works thank you so much. Would not have been able to continue playing this game without removing the lock picking. It’s so difficult to do while playing on the steam deck
If you rename it with the explorer window or change it on properties you will see that doesn't change. Still .zip even if you put data.pak. Internally stay with .zip extension. If you need to change the extension you can do it with cmd.
Go to your .zip folder (should be on Mods/Cheat/data). On the explorer bar remove the route of your folder and write 'cmd' and press enter. That will open the terminal already on your data.zip route. Then change the name with the command:
rename data.pak.zip data.pak
That will be change data.pak.zip to data.pak. I guess that you solved it already, but just in case someone has these difficulties... There is a solution here.
Seconded. At first I used Vortex to download and install. Tried it but it didn't work. So I manually installed the files to where the instructions said to. Still doesn't work. Why not?
Not exactly sure but does this mod break the quest Playing the Devil? The quest where you follow the three women doing the witch ritual and you end up becoming high and having a drug induced trip with them. I'm at the part where you choose one of the women and you're supposed to "lockpick" the one you choose. The quest is supposed to progress by spawning enemies to fight after but nothing happens. Not sure if its the mod or the game itself, which to this day is still buggy.
@Gaston153 Think you forgot to download the "cheat" mod its a requirement in order to get those commands to work I had this problem since i skim through it fast and missed it.
I don't have the Data file, could someone post their mod set for this cheat or do a step-by-step guide? I know @Wylir did one but it seems rather vague due to me not having the file.
I also was a bit confused, but got it working thanks to Wylir and spriorda17 messages.
Don't download this mod and download Cheat (Cheat Mod Link) instead
Create Mods folder in steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance if it's not already there.
Extract the Cheat folder in the Mods folder. Path should be /steamapps/common/KingdomComeDeliverance/Mods/Cheat
Rename data.pak to data.zip in /steamapps/common/KingdomComeDeliverance/Mods/Cheat/Data/
Open data.zip with 7zip and drag and drop /Scripts/autocheat.lua to desktop/downloads/documents where you can edit and save it.
Open autocheat.lua with notepad or any text editor.
Add the following lines to the end of the file:System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_stash_lockpicking") System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_door_lockpicking") System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_lockpicking") System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_pickpocketing")
Save the file and drag and drop the edited file back to /Data.zip/Scripts/ in 7zip. Overwrite the existing file when prompted.
Rename data.zip back to data.pak
If you have a file called mod_order.txt in /steamapps/common/KingdomComeDeliverance/Mods/ open it in notepad or any text editor and add the following line to the end of the file: Cheat
I'm not sure if you need to create this file if it's not already there. I had it in my folder already so I just added the line to the end of the file. If it doesn't work for you and you don't have the file, maybe try adding this file.
Save the file and start the game. Hopefully it now works. This worked for me and I didn't have to run any commands in the console after starting the game.

In game you can also hit tilda ~ then TAB (not enter) and see others you could add.
7. CTRL - S. Then when winrar asks, save it again (make sure game is not running).
8. Start up your game, it should be working.

Good lord, that lock picking mini game is straight from hell, especially if you play with a controller
in steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance
create folder mods
download requirement cheat (https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/106)
there insert the extracted cheat folder
go to \Mods\Cheat\Data - there should be data.pak
rename it to Mods\Cheat\Data data.zip
open with 7zip the the data.zip
double click on the scripts folder
select the autocheat.lua
extract the autocheat.lua to desktop
open the autocheat.lua with editor
under
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_eval cheat:logInfo(\"autocheat.lua test\")")
insert the codes without --
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_stash_lockpicking")
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_door_lockpicking")
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_lockpicking")
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_pickpocketing")
save the autocheat.lua
then insert the autocheat.lua pack in the data.zip\Scripts\ in 7 zip.
overwrite the autocheat.lua when question is asked
then exit 7 zip and rename it back to data.pak
in kingdom come open with °^key or ~ the console
in the console should now appear after running autocheat.lua test
Info Stash Lockpicking disabled...
.... (rest of insert commands)
works perfectly fine as it should
Then exit 7 zip and rename it back to data.pak now i have a data.pak.zip datei ? how can i fit that?
Go to your .zip folder (should be on Mods/Cheat/data). On the explorer bar remove the route of your folder and write 'cmd' and press enter. That will open the terminal already on your data.zip route. Then change the name with the command:
rename data.pak.zip data.pak
That will be change data.pak.zip to data.pak. I guess that you solved it already, but just in case someone has these difficulties... There is a solution here.
Why don't you do it right from the start?
The modding community is really not good here.....
So many MODS outdated and more...
No exact explanations about the mod installation...
@Grimus4 Thanks it does work.
However, i just type the command in-game. That other stuff didn't work for me.
i certainly can't find the autocheat.lua
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_stash_lockpicking")
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_door_lockpicking")
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_lockpicking")
System.ExecuteCommand("cheat_no_pickpocketing")
text editor and add the following line to the end of the file:
Cheat
I'm not sure if you need to create this file if it's not already there. I had it in my folder already so I just added the line to the end
of the file. If it doesn't work for you and you don't have the file,
maybe try adding this file.
starting the game.
