I don’t wanna be annoying, bro, or anything like that, but either I messed something up with my mods or something else happened. My horse in the game can only carry 35, which seems pretty low. As far as we know, a horse can carry up to 20% of its body weight, and most horses weigh around 400 kg, meaning they should be able to carry at least 80 kg. Meanwhile, the player should have a much lower carry capacity—just imagine running around with 80 kg on your back! That’s why I reduced the player's max carry weight to 20 at level 5, increasing it as STR levels up(+2 per lvl instead of 10). As a reference, Godwin has 95 at level 15, but as far as I know, in the intro, he has no perks—just level progression—so it should be possible to increase it a bit more. This is one of the reasons I wasn’t a big fan of the upcoming hardcore mode carry weight overhaul—because, by default, you’ll have around 90 carry weight at level 5 which seems alot
Gothicllo, in my mod horse cannot carry only 35lbs. Look for another installed mods - the problem might be there. If I understood the game files right, base carry weight is common for Henry and horse, so if some mod decreases Henry's weight - horse weight decreases too. Default base carry weight is 70lbs, and increases by +8 per each point of strength, for Henry and horse.
I forget to explain so there is: I've been tweaking my carry capacity to make it more immersive, so I came to the conclusion of setting my carry capacity to 22 pounds, which will increase by 2 pounds per strength level. Plus, there are perks that further boost carry capacity:Hard Working Lad: +8 pounds (3.6 kg) Pack Mule: +12 pounds (5.4 kg) Strong as a Bull: +20 pounds (9 kg) This means that at max level, Henry will have a total of 122 pounds of carry capacity (55 kg). Now, if we take his body weight into account, which I estimate to be around 162 pounds (73.7 kg), that’s like carrying two women worth of weight. And this is actually quite reasonable for a horse to carry. Also, there’s a quest where Gnarly refuses to carry Henry on his back. If you think about it, Henry’s own body weighs 162 pounds, plus his carry capacity, Gnarly’s body weight, and his equipment—it's no wonder Gnarly refuses. Not sure if anyone else agrees, but that’s the reference that made me change my carry weight
This mod made me think actually this could good way to affect economy as well. Would you be interested to do some "hardcore" version, after all there are no big saddle bags, just the saddle, so something like 50 could be maximum.
