    Well, Warhorse did somewhat increase the debuffs of the perks in 1.2.4. Problem is, it seems they updated only their English localization.

    Hi, I downloaded this mod in preparation for a hardcore run after I finished my normal one. Problem is, I cannot get the hardcore changes (most obvious being compass and map) to revert from my normal save. Holding the keybind until it says Hardcore Mode Disabled doesn't seem to change anything, neither does reloading a previous save nor uninstalling the mod entirely. Any idea what might be going on?

    (Update: for some reason I needed to disable both the KCD1 and KCD2 hardcore modes even though I only ever enabled the KCD2 one.)

      It is enough to remove one of the scripts in one of the .lua files.

    Excuse me but; If there anyway that we can "Fast-Travel in Hardcore" using Command_Prompts or Mod Request ?

    Can we enable fast travel in the game's own hardcore mode? Is there a mod for this or do you have such a project?

      Me personally I never fast traveled even once so I don't care. The thing is that adjusting the Fast Travel restrictions the way it's been done here won't help. So you would have to touch the game mode 2, which is HC, which means going into ApseMap and playing with the functions until it pops. Or not, there are scripts everywhere. I might take a look at it.

      I did take a look at the files, but frankly there's a reason the Fast Travel hasn't been done yet as there's no indication what disables it in game mode 2. I stumbled upon certain "tags" that could do something but I'm not a programmer and frankly recreating the whole map setup for fast travel is not that easy as I found out in the Better Map Zoom mod.

    Will this mod corrupt my saves if KCD2 gets a new update? I read one of the posts here saying they cannot play their saves anymore after the new KCD2 update

      No, it won't corrupt your saves. That issue has been fixed either by the saves debugger or downgrading and removing the perks.

      I see, thank you for the reply. Been trying out your mod, so far I'm liking it.

      Just another question, I think you said in one of your post that Aggressive Combat AI comes from the perk Punchable Face. I'm confused because I would think it means I only need to enable Punchable Face. I'm not sure if they are compatible with each other. So basically I'm asking can I enable both Punchable Face and Aggressive Combat AI at the same time?

      The AI is compatible with anything and everything as those settings are not really used much by anything else.

      Keybind the AI, go fight a group of enemies, enable it and you will see immediately what it does.

    This is an excellent mod! Way more interesting and in-depth than the official one. :)
    The only thing missing is the option to disable auto-saves during quests and such.
    I’d love to rely solely on my Savior Schnapps.
    A standalone mod that does just that would be the perfect addition.
    I tried digging through the settings and console commands, but couldn’t find anything.

    after i updated to 1.2.4 my save files wont work, not even with all mods disabled. is there a way to revert updates?
    i think the debuffs mightve gotten messed up or smt, so could i edit those in some way (remove them)?

      Yeah there's this error. You can downgrade with Steam or GOG. I made a quickfix for a Steam save, you can use the save debugger. v1.2.4 for whatever reason can't handle it's own already activated perks from v1.2.2.

    So we now have KCD1 and KCD2 Hardcore Mode can we activate them both at the same time? Seems to work just making sure that I don't oversee something and just should activate one.  Also if I turn on Aggressive Combat AI, it want get saved when reloading my save file. I have to activate it with every restart.

      They are meant to work together. All potential problems have been smoothed out.

      Because I'm pissed, this 1.2.2 mess could have been avoided by keeping the head low and not reposting the info on Reddit.

      You removed an optional file because you're pissed that somebody posted your HM finding on Reddit!? Besides, did you really think that this would stay a secret for long? And btw. I assume your mod will be the better solution anyway, even after the release of the official mode, except for warhorse comes up with some additional fancy mechanic like faster animations and combat speed - one can only dream. To sum it up: Thanks for this great mod I'm really enjoying. It's because of people like you that I'm still motivated to play the game but I really can't understand the fuss about this "whistleblowing"-thing.

      Because you don't see the work it takes to release a new idea.

      For example this mod in this state has already taken way over 100 hours of work. And do you think it's worth my time? No, it's not. Look at the download count, players don't want to make their game harder, players want to cheat above all. So yeah, I can be pissed when I work on something and a few moments later players just steal the mod and make minor changes without crediting me, which happens all the time.
