You have your file naming mixed up: both infinite and double are named double... works but confusing.

Just a quick sanity check: The controlling parameter (ShoeHealthDecrease) had a default value of 0.001 (one thousandth) in KCD 1. I don't have a parameter reference for KCD 2, so I don't know if that parameter's default value changed, but I doubt it. For the double-durability version of this mod, the value used is 0.00005 (half a ten-thousandth). If the default value hasn't changed, this modded value is actually 5%, not half of the default decrease-magnitude. In other words, you used one-too-many zeroes. OR I am wrong, and the default value for ShoeHealthDecrease for KCD 2 is one tenth of what it was in the first game (so .0001, or one ten-thousandth). That would be odd, though, because shoe wear seems mostly the same, so for this to be true they would have had to adjust the system to do about 10 times as much damage, and then compensate by reducing the default value by a factor of about 10. Very strange design choice, but not impossible.

So in KDC2 the default value is different from KDC1, its .0001 rathern than .001. I cant say for sure if they changed the damage to compensate but yeah its an odd change considering it feels about the same. Hope this clears it up for you.

ShoeHealthDecrease may not be the only parameter for shoe wear, it probably has some tick rate that got changed around.

This disables 7 league perk no matter the version of the mod. Even after removing the mod. RIP

Does this mod not work for leg armor? It doesn't seem to work when I run in plate leg armor with shoes included.

i love the mod and it works great, but the issue i found is due to the boots being constantly at 100%, i can never repair them (ofc) which prevents the seven-league boots perk. do you think/know if its possible to maybe instead of fully preventing durability loss, have the boots just never go below like 99%? then it can be repaired but also constantly have near max durability. thanks much

I'm actually looking for a mod that does the complete opposite. As Burgher and soft shoes don't seem to take any damage for me. And i think it's because their durability stat is set to 0. And because they don't get damaged, I'm unable to repair them and apply the Seven-League Boots perk.

What tools does one need to start modding this game? Does one have to install the cry engine dev kit or something?

EDIT: Nevermind, managed to figure out how to mod the files. May post it as a mod later.

You named the infinite file "double" instead of infinite on Nexus Files section, just so you know

Hey ryhBread, it's strange that nobody has made an infinite torch mod, if possible could you please fill this gap?
