JFYI: I had early access to the game for a month to review it for an outlet, which is why I was able to release the mod before KCD2’s launch. I’ve already managed to port some other mods and ideas from KCD1 but ultimately decided to hold them back so the original authors can rightfully take credit once Henry returns.
Uninstalling the mod: To do so, first set the value to 0, start the game, save once, then remove the file.

Thing to realise about this mods is that every bow and crossbow has different draw weights and throw in different arrows like the long range ones and then you got perks that improve arrows flight characteristics and thus arrows will not go the reticule on screen at all so this is actually more of a hinderance.
Are you serious? Even if you personally dislike this addition to the game, pretending to not know why others would like it is absolutely absurd. Being intentionally daft, that's embarrassing.

Weird how you believe to be the one to decide whether the reticle is necessary or not. Anyhow this is useless just like (same alteration as other mods) the other reticle-mods, this mod also doesn't show the reticle during contests, CONTRARY to what the creator of this mod states on this description page.
I wonder if it's possible to have a reticle that is more universal for say measuring distance?
Crossbows have a tendency to shoot really high from the tip of the bolt in the view. Bows has a tendency to shoot diagonally and high from the tip of the arrow.
At close ranges these are fine as you can gauge the distance, but at medium to long ranges it becomes pointless as the bow sways a ton while aiming.
Would be amazing if one day people have a range finder built into the crosshair so it tells you the distance of the target, then you don't need a reticle to aim you just need to know how far it is, so you can gauge the angle of the shot based on skills.
Using the games built-in reticle will not help much because each ranged weapon/ranged weapon type as well as ammo used can cause your aim to change. There are also perks that will cause your aim to change so using the games default reticle is not reliable.
Due to this its best to have a way to customize your reticles position to fine tune your aiming. Also, since most people use multiple ranged weapons there needs to be a way to switch between different saved presets.
I could not find any mods on here that could do that so I released one. You can make and save 3 reticles with custom on-screen positioning, color and size. The reticles also work while in contests/competitions Enjoy!
I'm simply asking if it's possible to get a custom on general to find the range of things you look at... For instance making numbers appears showing you how many units something is away.
I have the software on Steam for Crosshair X and while it's easy to grab some sort of generalized 'grenade launcher' range finder thing, it doesn't translate well to most weapons anyways.

There's stuff like this but none are translated into measurements for KCD 2 lol...
