      If you don't like OnlyDuels - just remove autoexec.cfg (that comes with both versions), i should have mentioned it in the description, but was in a hurry.

    Could u please upload this fantastic mod onto Steam as well? When I see more than two shield guys bullying me,  I start to search for the hero saves me in KCD 1.

    I have the Light version and this mod no longer seems to work.  Enemies can block my ripostes once more.

      Hello. I don't see any game update or hotfix since March 20th. You probably have a mod conflict. Also make sure that you use the latest version.

      I redownloaded the latest version of the mod and I removed every other mod running JUST this mod, and with the light version of the mod enemies are still able to block my ripostes.  I must be doing something wrong but cant figure out what.  Mod worked a few weeks ago when I last played the game.  Took a break for like a month or two and just came back with the new upcoming DLCs.

    Your mod has been really saving me in this game, thank you for making it! However, lately the auto-dueling hasn't been working, and multiple enemies will attack at once, even if I'm in an open area. I tried downloading the most up-to-date version today in case that fixed it, but now enemies are able to block my ripostes...

      Hi there. Only the fact that OnlyDuels not working for you means that you've messed up something with your mod manager (thats why i recommend manual install in the description). OnlyDuels fix is just a .txt file with console parameters, it will work on ANY game version and ironically even in KCD1 game. That means that you dont have "autoexec.cfg" file in main directory and did not install the mod correctly.

      As for reposte, since the latest version it is also gameversion independent, and all you have to do - to strike while blue icon is still there, if the blue icon is gone - enemy (in light version) will be able to block your strike. In the FULL version they ALWAYS CAN'T block, dodge, etc, no matter what.

    Thanks for mading my experience much more pleasant. With this mod I started to understand how all combat mechanics work in KCD. It made the overall combat learning curve less tricking and now I feel i can gradually move forward with more complex fightings.

    Can you explain what each value of these parameters means in combat context

      Hi there. These parameters set the weight (probability) that an NPC will perform a certain action. (in your case - masterstrike and perfectblock). If you are interested - you can google the full list of "rpg_param.xml" parameters and their default values.

      Despite there is no comprhensive descriptions found for these exact params, I managed, at least, to make up what PowTo abbreviation at the end of parameters means. 
      It means that this param is math power value used in appropriate calculations. It makes a sense! So this param is, apparently, responsible for the strength of an action.


      Prob ending - yes, comes from probabilty, presumably weight (as you said, which is more approprite here), because they often greater than 1 and used as a coefficient in the product functions.

      Now trying to figure out in which cases used Prob1 and Prob0.

      Let me share my findings with your . ))
      As far as "...PowTo" parameters presumably define the strength, I guessed that they might be left intact while there is no probability of corresponding action to happen.  I removed them from table and tried to prove the point. The results of test fighting showed that I guessed it right.
      As long as master strikes and riposters never happen - no matter how powerfull they are :)

    I want only duel cause every god damn npc can parry 90% of my attack,I'm wondering if there is a way to make npc can only block(cost npc's stamina and won't interrupt player's combo)and can't parry( or perfect block),then the group fight would be possible and feasible

      There is a version, where NPC can only block or dodge (no perfect block, no masterstrike).

      You mean the NoMS version mod ban npc‘s MS and perfect block and riposte at the same time?

    Blue swords icon strike is a riposte, not a master strike.  NPCs cannot block master strikes.

      I play on non-english client, so probably you are right, BUT in game files it is called masterstrike, so that's why i called it.

      Yeah just to be clear, master strike can not be blocked or dodged by anyone, including Henry. It auto hits and is entirely animation based.

      Avoid giving NPCs the chance to hit you with a master strike by never throwing an attack from the opposite side to their weapon. Thankfully most NPC can not use master strike anyway, is only usable by long swords and only by some rare high skilled enemies.

      Ripostes can be blocked (and counter riposte launched), and can end up turning into long back and forth riposte chains, which personally I find very cool because that's how it is when sparring with a competent partner in real life. Except much faster than in the game.

      It's very cool indeed ... when you have 1 opponent and a whole day. But if you have a group where everyone is trying to do "this" until Christmas, it gets annoying. No offense brother.

      In that case just use master strike yourself, its like a cheat code, it kills almost everyone in two uses. I actually had to stop using it because its making the game boring for me lol everyone just dies instantly its like my Henry is the terminator!

      But I get it if you don't like the combat then you don't like the combat and nothing will change that, glad you were able to make a mod to make it better for you. I never hate on anyone's mod choices, except the gooner mods of course.

      What do you mean by saying the real life? Sports events with light wooden swords or what?
      Dont you think that a piece of metal of some 10 kg is too much to wield fast in real life.  :) The game tempo if quite relevant for this weapons, IMHO. No offence

    So I have the main file downloaded, they aren't blocking but I'm still getting swarmed and attacked from all angles even when im target locked on one enemy. Any advice?

      Yes, use -devmode as launch option (see description).

      Well, it is very easy to check: just try entering these variables (from autoexec.cfg) in console while playing - if the values ​​don't match the values ​​in .cfg = devmode is not enabled and you have default values.

      My bad. The autoexec.cfg was missing for some weird reason. I installed the latest version of ur mod now (including the autoexec.cfg) and everything is working again.

      i'm sorry everything is way above my head when it comes to mods. my launch options say -devmode is active, do i put (from autoexec.cfg) in the console commands box that comes up in game? It worked swimmingly before the update not sure whats happened now.

      As far as devmode is properly enabled, you don't neet to put anything in console - the game will do it automatically every time (if .cfg is placed in root folder).
      As for game update, try installing the latest mod version (1.1) that is not limited to any game version.

      not sure if it makes a difference but I'm using vortex. Root folder im guessing is the mod manifest? this is what i see there:

      Root folder is the main game folder with all game files, for example for Steam users it is:
      ...\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2If you have problems with Vortex - just try to do manual installation, it's quick and easy.

      For this mod it should be the main game folder, place it there and just use "extract here" option.
