Selling price has been updated, it was half the price before, but I thought that was due to other factors. It turns out that's not the case, even with every factor maxed it was only half the base price. (Which is confusing because the numbers I changed suggest otherwise).
The mod only changes the base selling price, there are other factors (like item state, reputation, if the merchant sells this kind of goods ...) that would still make the selling and buying price different.
If you're using vortex, make sure your vortex extension is up-to-date (currently v0.2.3).
After updating the extension for the first time, reinstalling all your mods is recommended (only needed to do this once).
If you're installing this mod manually, make sure the "fairtrade" folder is inside your Mods folder and if there is a "mod_order.txt" inside your folder, make sure to add "fairtrade" line to it (without the quotation marks).
Sorry for the late reply, I just finished updating mods for another game I'm modding that also got updated.
Just tested it and it seems to be still working, did you test it or just assumed it broke? Here an example with 2 repair kits when selling to a trader with 54 reputation:
I dunno, for some people it might add to the realism, rather than Henry being a rag and bones man hauling every scrap of loot all over the land to sell at a pittance, just have to pick up a few choice items now
It's much more realistic to sell a weapon for at least 50% of its price than hauling a completely unrealistic amount of loot for several kilometers to a trader only to sell to a pittance
@Martygod. Do you more often have the desire to tell other people what's the right and wrong way in your eyes for how to play --> a game <--- even though you dont even know any of them. A meddlesome nature up to the point of...
It's not working as expected in my case either (selling price = buying price option). It's definitely improving the price somewhat. For example, I have an Aesop potion (100 condition) that has a value of 45G in my inventory, the buying price from an apothecary where I have Reputation maxed out(100) is 36.6G, my selling price is 18.3G, so 50% of the buying price. Without the mod enabled, my selling price for the same potion is 13G.
I don't have any perks that improve prices for potions.I do have some other mods installed, the only one I think might be interfering with this somehow is the Easier Reputation one. Maybe it's modifying the reputation in certain contexts, but not the price calculation one. So while it may show up as 100 to me in the merchants screen, maybe it's still 60-70 in the price calculation context.
I was curious about the prices and looked at that shop.xml file and that's how I understood that there are very few items that will sell/buy at the value you see in the inventory, most are set to 0.7/0.8 of the inventory price (and of course only for 100 condition and reputation) some even less and very few are at 1 or over that.
This mod is not working in my game as well, I installed "Fair Trade And Base Price Min" , Got 100 rep with vendor, But the price is about 50% of the value i saw in my inventory. And i can't sell cloth or food to the blacksmith even tho the description said that "you can sell your stuff to anybody".
Thanks for the mod but what is the default value in a vanilla game? I never noticed the % on the base game for selling cuz the rep and condition and perks make it complex. if you buy a glove for 100 G (no rep, no perk) and instantly sell it without using it then how many G do you get for it?
That depends on which merchant you choose to sell it to, some will give you a decent price (those merchants are generally those who sell this type of goods), and those who you will be able to profit the maximum when using this mod, as for merchants that do not sell those goods, the buying and selling price are both set very low (so even with this mod you will sell it very cheap to them (since it's equal to there price, but it's just that they do not sell the item)). I could have also altered the price for merchants who don't sell the product you're trying to sell, but decided to not do that since that will make every merchant pretty much the same with the others price wise (and I like the fact that you need to look for the right merchant to sell stuff). Maybe I could also make an optional version, that make all merchants (even the general goods merchants), all buy your stuff at minimum the 100% base price (the one you see in the inventory). I have done something similar to this in the mod "Daily trader restock" optional downloads (but set it to 50% minimum of base price since that was what the user who suggested that asked for, iirc I named it something like "with decent price everywhere").
Thank you. I am just trying not to kill the game like I did the combat. Henry is pretty OP without modding and the thing that bothered me about trade was that the prices were shamefully low.
I don't think so. It says that my build was updated at Feb 6th, so there shouldn't be any new updates. Thanks for the mod though, I hope you'll figure it out!
Add groschen (3500) to the horseman Mikolai (the gypsy), I sell him stolen horse that costs 2500 groschen for 350 groschen, cuz he have not money than that at all (the same sum per two weeks!!)
Did you notice that the selling price changes when installing this mod, or did you just compare it with the buying price? The price is also affected by other factors, this mod only changes the base price difference and not the final price that takes into account all pricing factors.
