added an optional file that doesn't change companios, just unlocks 1-8 keys
Modern games are made with console controllers in mind and KCD2 is not an exception (to be fair: KCD2 is better with KB&M controls than many of the other games, but it still has issues). So while specific action groups might feel comfortable for controller, for keyboard and mouse they are not. This mod separates some of the actions into different groups which feel much more logical to us, plus, unlocks some of the other actions that were locked (which is also bizarre) for re-binding.
Mod changes:
Quick chat keys (1-4) unlocked to re-bind.
Consumable keys (1-8) unlocked to re-bind.
Call the horse is now a separate key to bind (note that Inspect the horse shares the same action).
Horse mount/dismount is now tied to the same key you can bind separately.
Call the dog is now a separate key to bind (note that you still need to hold the button you assigned to call the dog, but it's now 0.1 sec instead of 0.25 sec).
To install unpack the content of the zip file you downloaded into [Path to KCD2]\Mods folder. If Mods folder doesn't exist - create it.
If the mod was installed properly you should see the new options in the menu (see the screenshots).
We will continue on trying to improve KB&M controls in other ways.
The mod is not compatible with any other mod that changes keybindSuperactions.xml and/or defaultProfile.xml (potentially any mod that changes/adds hotkeys).
