While the FPS boost is massive, this does cause visual artifacting with the global illumination, specifically with the temporal filtering. Since I've boosted my GI in general, unfortunately this was too distracting to continue using. Just throwing that out there so others can pinpoint their own issues.
Little PSA that (for me at least) this mod seems to cause strobing lights in some areas. Like, as if someone were turning an invisible light on and off with 0.75 second pauses between. Had this problem, removed this mod from my user.cfg, and the problem stopped. Considering the nature of this mod I imagine that some people won't experience that same problem, but if you happen to be experiencing something like that, try removing this mod.
Warning: This mod puts "e_svoTI_AsyncCompute=1" and made my RTX 3080 utilization max up to constant 99% 340Watts. Even in low compute environments like staring at a wall. (I am using G-Sync 4K 60Hz, DLSS Quality)
I really wonder why this parameter is off by default, when last GPUs which had problems with async compute are about 8 years old (GeForce 1000 series).
for 10xx GPUs, one of the easiest fps boosts is turning volumetric clouds off (there's still gonna be clouds, just not volumetric ones), it can add about 10 fps, the command is e_clouds 0
TIP: If anyone is rolling with a rtx4060 or rtx3060ti, I found that these settings below with DLSS Quality (1440p) give me a locked 60 FPS while making the game look incredible.
Object Quality: Medium
Global illumination: Medium
Shadows: Medium
Vegetation Details: Medium
Everything else: Experimental
The first four settings above impact the game more than anything so I recommend playing around with those options, but just know that they don't make the game look that much better when going to high/ultra/experimental. Don't use low on those 4, that's when it actually downgrades the visuals to where it's noticeable.
For the people that are saying there's no noticeable difference, I did some testing and running with High Preset provides no bonus fps however, if you run on Ultra it gives around 10 fps back. Tested with an OC RTX 2060 at 1080p with DLSS Quality.
Hey, man. Can you do some testing? Try only changing Global Illumination alone. Set it to Ultra and input the command. See if you get a difference.
I'm testing it right now on a OC RTX 3060 12GB at 1440p DLSS Quality. I get up to 8-10% performance gain(from around 55-56fps to 60fps)... but only when Global Illumination is set to Ultra. That seems to be it, at least on my end.
EDIT: This command seems to help a lot with Global Illumination when set to Ultra. I gained back around 9% performance(from 55fps to 60fps) by turning AsyncCompute on. On the other hand, dropping GI from Ultra to High, gets you 18% performance gain.
Ultimately, this is a matter of whether the visual improvement is worth it for that 9% performance difference that you end up with by setting GI to Ultra and turning AsyncCompute on vs simply keeping GI to High.

Clearly not a good idea imo

Above is a mod, no need to add any command line to game startup etc.
