It's a pity that there is no mod that repairs horses, because after you get to Kuttenberg, the horse's behavior literally breaks down, it stops drinking water from the troughs and just stands where you left it, even if it's in the middle of the road. And if you go back to Trosky, then the horse just runs away from you to the Semin estate and stands there, so you have to whistle and immediately saddle it so that it doesn't run away, I tried to find the root of the problem in the game files, but alas
Hey, can you make somehing similar, but for replacing Henrys "Quick!" and "Go!" commands when speeding-up the horse, and putting there only the basic grunts and clicks, just as is was in KCD1? Cheers ❤️
It would be nice with a mod like that. I just got started and these mods are rather simple and brutish so no promises, depends on how much time I have to learn more and go through the game files to find how to achieve this :).
I fond a way to disable the sound of Henry saying "yah!"/"Go!" but not sure how to replace it yet. If you want I can upload a mod tonight that simply disables that specific sound?
Hey, do you think it's possible to remove the rattling sound from having armor when on foot? Been trying to figure out how but no luck on my own. This mod seems to do something like it, but on the horse.
I’d think it would be but I am not sure if this type of mod would be enough to fix that. What did you search for in the files?
I tried something else today and realized distanceculling could be set to 0 and that (for horse drinking) resulted in sound being muted. A value of 1 resulted in only hearing the sound if you stand basically on top of the horses head. Dunno if this would work for player worn armor though, armor sound might be related to the noise mechanic?
Been trying to search for things related to the armor layers, armor weight and such as it seems the rattling starts when you wear 'enough' metal parts. Been trying to find that specific threshold and just increase it but that might be the wrong way of going about it.
Was thinking about trying to modify "Well-Fitted" instead to always be applied and last indefinitely but so far can't seem to find it. Likely under another name in the files. And it might just reduce the 'Noise' stat rather than do anything with the annoying clanking and rattling when moving around.
That should be easy I think, I’ll have a look at it. However, first I might try to find a way to make these audio mods PTF compatible so you can use several of them without conflict (as they tend to use animals.xml).
Hi, I already made a mod for that after a user requested it: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance2/mods/683
In that mod and this one there is the optional file if you want to remove both drinking sound and the rattling sound, if you only want either one then just grab either mod :).
Let me know if you encounter any issues or if there are other sounds anyone might want to get rid of.

It gets so annoying—damn thing just won't stop.
I'm there blacksmithing all day, and Pebbles is chugging water nonstop.
Where do you even put it, buddy?
