I updated the mod for the newest patch 1.2 that was released today (13.03.2025).
This patch added three new unique horses to the game file. This is why you need to update this mod to the new version 1.1.0. Otherwise these three horses will be missing from your game which might cause issues for you.
I don't know what role these new horses play. I have finished the game and am not playing it right now. It doesn't look like you can buy these horses, so I left their stats unaltered. It might be possible that you can steal them and make them yours, though. If that is the case, please let me know in the comments and I will increase their stats also.
As always, if you have any issues with this mod let me know and I will look into it.
If this works for all horses does it also make their buying prices insanely high since their value is 6k groschen? I mean that's not much once you get going, but if you wanted to grab one of the other horses in Semine for example, would they all be 6k at the start of the game?
Hi, i'm the original maker of the pebbles ascended mod, I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FINALLY MAKING THIS MOD!!!! truth be told this was the mod I wanted to make instead of the pebbles ascended mod, the pebbles mod came into existence simply by me not knowing how to make a mod like this, I literally spent like 10 hours trying to figure out where the horses stats were (I looked at all the soul.xml files) after not being able to find anything I just said "f*#@ it, I'm done, i'm just editing the perk" glad to finally see where the damned horse stats were being stored
I couldn't get it to work even when I used it without any other mod. Either my game crashed when trying to mount Pebbles, or the game didn't crash but the mod had no effect. If it works for you that's great. I changed my mod description to tell people to try it for themselves.
Anyway, after you have the "Good Old Pebbles" / "Red Herring" perks it doesn't really matter anymore if that mod or my mod is used, the end result is the same.

edit: oh it seems that stats will not update in inventory correctly

For instance I equip different horseshoes on my horse but the speed doesn't update at all.
And you have multiple saddles at the same price but different cosmetics, has the same effect.
The variety of gear just isn't varied enough.
