The models for this outfit are from in-game, not by me. This mod just makes copies of the existing equipment and introduces different colored versions. These were not meant for the player to wear - any visual bugs, including the outfit not behaving normally, issues with the visor, or clipping/missing meshes from mixing and matching with other equipment are native to the game. The coat, sleeves, coif, and helmet look best if they're used together - trust me, I've tried making them work with other pieces of gear by changing/adding to the XML, and it's not possible without editing the models themselves.
Recent Changes:
In version 1.8, I've added custom icons that Bergmanmalton created and kindly sent me! I truly appreciate it!
Added alternate versions in Main files that move the coat into the plate slot and the coif into the hood slot. With the hood versions, you may experience a visual bug in the inventory menu where the modded coif disappears when previewing other coifs, but it should still be there.
Issues:
Having the visor down on the bascinet seems to draw the actual visor model when using most weapons, blocking your view. Even with the sword, you can see the bottom part of the visor. It doesn't seem to be from the actual "visor vision" that is in the game. The actual skin file will need to be modified to fix this, which is out of the scope of what I can do - I would need to use 3D-modeling software and possibly Cryengine to fix it.
Navigate to"Mods\henry_zizka_armor\data" and unzip "henry_zizka_armor.pak" using 7Zip or WinRAR - you should get a folder called Libs.
To edit colors/materials, navigate to "Libs\Tables\Character" and open "CharacterComponent__henry_zizka_armor.xml" to make your edits.
I highly recommend using something like Warbox to navigate the game's files to see what the material names are. Screenshot of what the tool looks like in the spoiler below.

To edit the stats, navigate to "Libs\Tables\item" open "item__unique__henry_zizka_armor.xml" to make your edits. You can also delete "InventoryPreset__shops__henry_zizka_armor.xml" if you want to remove the items from the shop so it doesn't conflict with merchant mods.
Save your changes and repack the Libs folder using a repacker or by following these steps with WinRAR:
1. Right click the Libs folder, select WinRar, and click "Add to archive..." 2. Change archive format to zip 3. Change file name from .zip to .pak (best to use the original PAK file name here) 4. Under the Time tab, uncheck "High precision time format" 5. Click okay and overwrite the original PAK file with your new one
Warhorse is also working on official mod support, so it may become even easier for you to do your own thing soon with whatever tool(s) they come out with.
If you used Vortex or a mod manager, you can try installing manually and making sure to include it in a load order file if you have one. If not, you might have another mod installed that uses the table files, CharacterComponents.xml and item_unique.xml, and is not PTF (even if it says it is). I've noticed there's a few mods out there that are either not using PTF naming conventions or are including all the original lines of these files. You can check this by going in the Data folder of the mod, opening its PAK file with WinRar or 7Zip, and checking in "Libs\Tables\Character\" and "Libs\Tables\item\" if they exist.
You'll want to look for a few things:
If the CharacterComponents, item, or any other XML files have their mod ID attached at the end using double underscores, then it is PTF. In my mod, my files are named like this: CharacterComponents__henry_zizka_armor.xml and item__unique__henry_zizka_armor.xml
If these two files are just named CharacterComponents.xml and item__unique.xml with no mod ID appended at the end, then it is not PTF and will interfere with other mods.
Even if their files are named correctly, there is a chance they could still contain lines that interfere with other mods. So in mine, I only have lines that have anything to do with the equipment I've added to the game. I've seen some mod authors have a direct copy-paste of the entirety of the original game file in their mod - this will most likely cause conflicts.
seems it conflicts with noble's armour recolour to black. though i deleted the mod, installed Zizka's armour still can't even spawn it like it won't load at all. i did managed to get it work but i only can spawn the helmet, but i can't equip it at all.
The Noble's Armour Recolour mod is not PTF. You might have another mod installed that isn't PTF and edits the CharacterComponents file and/or the item__unique file.
I tried deactivated/remove every mod except Zizka mod, I still can't spawn coat or few other items. When I tried to drop it it disappeared. I still can't wear it as the name of the items seems to be greyed out. Anyhelp?
Do you have a mod load-order file by any chance (like from using a mod manager)? Sometimes those will cause issues. I personally stopped using them because I started experiencing stuff like that with multiple mods.
Ah I did use mod manager, I guess I have to stop using them now, I'll come back here and update if it works.
Update 1: it doesn't work even uninstalling mod manager, here's my mod load-order henryzizkaarmor morecarryweightptf nude pebblesandherring pebblesandherringascended rebalancedaiming betterbrunswick
Don't use mod manager for now. Delete all your mods in KCD2 game folder and reinstall the mod again, cause all your mods have been changed/renamed by the mod manager Example : henryzizkaarmor original name is henry_zizka_armor If the problem still there then there's conflict with other mods, try to install the zizka armor first
Would be nice with a less strong version. It's almost double the strength of some of the most expensive armor you can get in the game, a nerfed version would be cool.
I can't believe I had to get to the second page to find a similar opinion. The default noble armor is already wildly overpowered and this is just a tier above that /shrug
I just chose stats from the strongest armor in the game since I was at endgame anyways. While I understand other players feel this way, I personally don't get enjoyment from making the game harder for myself, and I made this mod for myself. The chest is on par with the Milanese Cuirass, the arms with the Nuremberg plate gauntlets, the legs with the Noble's plate legs, and the coif with the mail coif. I've already made several versions to appease multiple people, and I am moving away from focusing on this game.
I've left instructions in my second pinned comment on how you can edit the mod, and editing the stats is one of the easiest modifications you can do (step 4) - so I would highly encourage people who feel really strongly about this to give it a try.
Hello! I have a bunch of other mods installed so the items obviously don't show up in the store (besides Zizkas legs for some reason). But when I try to spawn them in nothing happends (I have devmode active + I can spawn in any other vanilla item without a problem). Any help?
editing the manifest file made the mod work again, however it is very buggy. the textures of the armor will change (for example the metal on the arms will change to a cloth texture) at seemingly random. hope we get an updated version or a fan fix down the line
Hello. Could someone please help me? I have downloaded all 4 mods and extracted them to the folder as I should, but the only thing I have at the merchant is the zizkas pants. Is there a problem with the mods themselves or did I miss something wrong thank you for the reply.
