There is a easier way to do this, no need to edit filenames or download 100mb+ files.
Get 7zip 1. Go to KCD2\Engine\Engine.pak and right click it, hover over 7-Zip and click Open Archive. 2. Go to Engine.pak\Config\CVarOverrides\Cutscene.cfg and right click it and press Edit. 3. Change sys_MaxFPS=30 to sys_MaxFPS=0 press ctrl+s(to save), close notepad. 4. In 7-Zip window it will ask if you wanna update it in the archive, simply press Yes.
done
(Pretty sure a some genius can code a bat script that uses 7zip to do all the steps automatically) - So It's easier after every game update And someone did! Cutscene FPS Unlock (Fully Automatic)
It's actually much more convenient to download than to do this tbh since you still had to backup anyway. But if you're a guy that doesn't backup things then this is for you.

Backup what?.. It's literally a single digit change. That's all this is. (Change 30 to 0)
If this isn't working for you for some reason, make the changes to the cutscenes.cfg file as Realzoa instructed, and then:
1. SAVE the .cfg file somewhere convenient. 2. DELETE the Cutscene.cfg file from the .pak location Realzoa directed you to 3. DRAG the file you saved into the 7-zip folder.
Sometimes 7-zip doesn't like when you try to edit files directly within an archive/pak, so you can work around this by deleting and re-adding.

And? Changes are changes, friend. Also, backing up things is a good practice (especially if someone has an OCD), and the script you mentioned literally backup the file as the per key feature's says, so...

Feel free to backup whatever you want, I'm just confused on why It's needed, since steam has the original file(If you need it) just re-verify the game files. Anyway as long as you know what changed then you know how to fix it back, meaning no need to backup. And using the steps I mentioned you learn what you need to change and you should know how to revert it. Like I said, It's literally a single digit change...
CryEngine loads "Engine" folder as "Data" folder, so mods also overwrite "Engine\*.pak" files. You don't need to patch the whole 181 MB file. 1 KB mod is enough =)
I don't want to publish another (5th) mod to frustrate players, so you could use my files to change your mod.
One version leaves game settings fps and vsync, another increases fps cap to 60. I prefer fps, based on game settings, but someone may like the 60 fps cap.
Seems like in at least some cutscenes, the shadows update at a set rate, using this tweak will cause them to go out of sync and cause severe flickering.
I noticed this when I was troubleshooting shadow flickering issues in the tavern scene after first attempting to visit the castle.
Fresh install, tweak off: No flicker. Tweak on: Flicker.
You can even notice the shadows ticking at a different rate then the unlocked one. Shame.
I dont know if that would work.. i maybe tried it but problem is game call cutscene.cfg every time cutscene start and in this config there is line that set 30fps limit every time
Just to add, this did NOT work for me INITIALLY, after I did the steps specified the game would crash instantly after the splash screen. However, instead of doing all the renaming, etc. I followed the steps from @Realzoa
My only guess is that even making sure it was the proper file type, it was not liking when I zipped the file back up and put it where it needed to be. But, following this method above where you don't have to extract the archive worked great since it doesnt require any zipping/unipping.
I had this EXACT same issue with the original Kingdom Come Deliverance game and am now wondering if there is some similar fix for that one. The game would run wonderful except just during cutscenes it would drop to intolerable 10 fps or below and the audio would play normally so it would be behind the cutscene.
I followed all the suggestions online and nothing worked. So I gave up. I was so heartbroken when this game had the same issue at first. But I can confirm this fix resolved the issue for me. The only other tweak I made was disabling VSYNC. Everything else is on highest quality, but I changed DLSS to "Balanced". Game runs amazing, even in crazy big fights with the entire town.
THANK YOU to modder's who make games like this so much more enjoyable, or in this case, playable. And thank you to people who also take the time to leave fixes like the above.
That awesome you manage to do it.. I am not modder i just wanna help gamers like me.. and with winrar which is program i used to open renamed file i jsut edit it with in it and do no unzipped it.

If you mean that It won't save properly; that happens when you don't close the notepad when used to edit the values
