For anyone trying to get KCD1 hardcore navigation some of this mod does still work! You can use some of the optional files such as No Compass and No Fast travel from this mod. I'm using those in combination with a steam workshop mod by Lawh called Hide Player on Map and Center to Center.
Using those 3 together seems to be a pretty damn good way to make traveling much like KCD1 Hardcore mode and I haven't ran into an issue yet.
I figured you might know since you've done map icon modding. Is there a way to "nerf" the Explorer perk so it gets rid of the fog of war (clouds) on the map without exposing the name and location of every point of interest in the game? This is what it looks like in vanilla, with monochrome icons being undiscovered locations: https://i.imgur.com/hLtYhzh.jpeg
I unlocked the perk and regret it. I tried respec-ing but that didn't get rid of it.
The Explorer perk ID is 34e03c47-de53-482f-b3f5-555e7e36d70c. I tried # player.soul:RemovePerk('34e03c47-de53-482f-b3f5-555e7e36d70c') and it did remove the perk, but it had no effect on the map. All of the of the undiscovered POIs still show up as monochrome icons with their names displayed. Thanks for the suggestion though. I guess the only real way to get rid of it is to remove the undiscovered white icons and their names.
Someone may have already pointed this out, but you can use mutt to find your location on the map when the no map marker mod is enabled. When you tell mutt to stay, he is marked on the map, so you can use him to find your location, then keep moving. Great mod otherwise though, I wish I used this from the very start of the game.
Hi, love the mod, is there any way to enable notifications?, like skill ups, reputation gain or loss, quest updates. Maybe with a console command, but without altering anything else?, I'm using:

# player.soul:RemovePerk('d465687d-f2b8-437d-97d2-145f750b3905')
replacing the id with the perk id of explorer

No Map
No compass Icons
No fast travel
Thank you.
