    Doesn't need to be updated. 1.2 code is identical. No reason this shouldn't work.

      Nevermind ignore my previous statement. I changed the value to x8 and now the herds are back to what they were at x4. It seems like the patch must have messed with default spawn rates or something because now this is still working but you need to basically double everything compared to the old game version. I did read through the entire patch notes earlier today and I think I do remember running by a note that mentioned animal spawns. Hard to remember though as there were so many notations. 

      This is what they posted on their notes for animals behavior and spawning...
      Animals
      – Improved dying animations and ragdoll for cows and bulls.
      – Fixed some animal spawners not working correctly. (Might be the culprit?)
      – Fixed reactions of hares to Mutt.
      – Fixed random movement of animals and reduced the frequency of their turns.

      Some of their patch notes are also false, for example, they claimed they improved the textures of women's bodies, when they didn't change them at all. Literally the same as the launch version lol

      I'm starting to feel like this patch wasn't tested at all before they pushed it out the gate. On top of weird issues like animal spawning and, changes in their notes that don't exist in game like the woman's body texture thing. I'm now getting 35-55 fps everywhere when I previously got 55-75 fps. This patch defiantly has caused some MAJOR engine level issues.

    great mod x10 works great for more realistic deer hurds, but wild dog pack are scaled also, is there a way to not alter the wild dog numbers? othersie great mod

      The official mod tools are being released this month. You should learn how to use the CryEngine with tutorials and make them yourself when the easier to use tool set comes out. The CryEngine is pretty user friendly.

    Hey out of curiosity can I change the respawn integer in the file or dose it have to be set to 7 days? Could I set it to 2 days for instance so animals respawn quicker?

      You sure can. Vanilla default was 14 days, which is way too long IMO.
