I believe you forgot to add buck's blood to the list. i didn't see any mention in the description of that being omited and then tried in game and couldn't get it to work, opened the file and didn't see it in the recipe .xml. maybe i am wrong but if you could, please update this. love the mod other wise. only other thing is maybe add a note that the recipe won't show up until you crafted it even if you have the base version. i wasn't thinking and was trying to test the mod and kept loading my game to see if the recipe was in the book like stated and it wasn't until i brewed it.
It was a bug—Buck's Blood was there under "recipe_potion_stamina" but couldn't be activated due to a typo in the xml. Thanks for letting me know! Fixed and uploaded
Very nice idea and it might be a good implementation on lower levels. BUT
Once Henry is of sufficient skill (power alchemy leveler players can hit 30 alchemy before leaving troskowitz) and has certain alchemy perks you can get 6 henry level potions per go, meaning crafted two times it is 12 potions. The double output from this mod is 9 henry level potions (likely because it does not double the perk effect) for the same material costs as two normal crafts.
Essentially meaning the higher output this mod proclaims can actually be lower.
I didn’t change the perk effects. I tested this mod with both my endgame character (Alchemy 24) and a new game character (Alchemy 1). With the endgame character, I managed to brew 12–16 potions when brewed correctly. With the new game character, it was 2–3 potions when brewed correctly. So I assumed it's kinda working. That said, there's a lot happening under the hood with alchemy, and unfortunately, I don’t have full control over it. I’m currently on my second playthrough, 5+ hours in, so I’ll be able to test progression more thoroughly. I may increass the output to make it more worthwhile
Tested the numbers I posted with Bane poison. Two times six Banes without the mod, one time nine with. And the quality was Henry Level i.e. near perfectly brewed.
The perk in question is called "Secret of Matter". If you brew a potion you get ONE additional potion of the same quality. The higher tier of that perk is "Secret of Matter II". That gives an additional TWO potions of the same quality, bringing it up to three. That is a bonus calculated AFTER the result from alchemy.
The perks are exclusive with "Secret of Equilibrium" I and II which allows for considerably more errors in brewing, like boiling to long, not grinding an ingredient like demanded or putting the wrong amount in (one eyebright instead of two for instance).
You were right, I did some more testing and the final yield wasn’t quite correct. I made some tweaks to the max yield of both weaker and stronger potions to better reflect the "double yield", and I also increased XP to 2x. Even if more potions aren’t produced, at least the experience gain will be doubled. Considering the Alchemy perks, brewing potions the normal way will still result in a higher yield thanks to the perks—it'll just take more time, making it a trade-off.
I've already uploaded version 1.0.1 if you want to give it a try Thanks for the feedback

It may or may not be as advertised with Potions.
