I would recommend just doing the environment textures since someone already did most if not ALL of the character/NPC models and they look amazing. Combining your texture pack (if you finish this one, yes I am aware of your PS2 texture packs lol) with their models would be flawless.
There is a lot of potential here. It is a bit inconsistent. Some have added detail, and some don't. Some are out of place. The planks look like they are fresh from Lowes in aisle H26 that have been professionally installed.
I'm not a fan of the sand textures in Destiny Islands and Olympus Coliseum, or the grass textures in the Queen's throne room in Wonderland. I don't think they match the general aesthetics.
Everyone has different tastes but I just wanted to chime in and say I actually love the sand textures personally. I totally get where you are coming from though
yoo dope mod! one thing i just wanted to point out, its hard to notice, but theres a small error with the sand texture in olympus, it seems theres a couple areas where the sand is stretched or something like that figured id just let you know, dope mod though man, looks really clean!
I appreciate the effort, but it looks like a lot of the textures are just detailed for the sake of detail, without much regard to matching the art style of the worlds they're in. For instance, your Wonderland grass texture shows every blade in realistic detail as opposed to the more flat and simplified style of the movie and original game. It also feels a bit disingenuous to show the "before" pictures in a noticeably lower resolution.
the intentionally misleading comparisons is whats always bugged me and im glad someone else feels the same way . pixelating everything around the characters and command menu to make the environment textures look "worse" is extremely misleading and nowhere in the original game will you see anything like that , lower resolution ingame textures does not mean ingame models will have their edges pixelated like shown in all these mods . its especially ridiculous in 0.2 , the game absolutely does not ever look like that in the before pictures
Haven't seen other character issues with mouths not moving, but to fix Sora's, install this mod after (install the head only one): PS2 Sora
I did this myself cuz I noticed Sora's head has a weird cave in glitch on the left side of his forehead during cutscenes and when u have him face the screen looking at you with this environment + other texture mod.
So this mod has been fantastic and amazing. I'm very much appreciative of it.
However, I've come across some small issue, which is that entering Monstro and going around inside his... insides... there are missing textures. some of the floors/walls are just replaced with the color blue, which I'm assuming is just a texture missing.
Uncertain if this can be duplicated or if there potentially was an issue when installing the texture pack and I just need to reinstall it again
