I am having an issue where every time i talk to t3, he gives me the access codes to the security system. However, the only option in the security system is jedi123 or something like that
Any chance to make this compatible with Aneeryrlue's Ultima Duel Mod? It requires access through the security's computers to be teleported to the Ultimate Duel Room and this Mod also uses the security's computer to get the lightsabers.
It's possible you have a mod that overrides the changes made to T3's dialog. In general, speaking to T3 gives you the codes and then you go to the security system terminal in the side room off the hallway that leads to the cockpit.
If you try a new game and it doesn't work even then, there's a mod conflict going on.
The mod adds booleans to globalcat.2da and updates journal entries in the global.jrl file. These are core files that numerous mods mess with, so the patcher adds onto existing changes instead of say placing a file version in override, compromising mod compatibility with nearly every major mod out there. I have been looking at a mobile version of this mod that would likewise not need the Patcher, that's not ready for release yet though.
If you would like to try to manually install it, DM me and I can work with you to get it done.
for some reason Patcher wont install the it keeps stucking (and crashing) at "Saving unaltered backup copy..." so i guess i also need a manual installation guide.
edit: sorry for the bother just had to little patience: kept it running in the backround, the back up took like 5 minutes and the Patcher was marked not responding the entire time though....
Definitely interesting! Seemed it worked in the end from what I gather? There is an update coming before the new year that will try and streamline how the patcher functions so it won't take as long.
Is there anyway to make this compatible with the Ultimate version of Shem's SEM - Super Enhanced Mod that overhauls lightsaber and Blaster dmg but also adds and changes the properties of Crystals? I don't think there's a way to manually remove the crystal portion alone from that mod and T3 won't recognize my color crystals or give me the Ebon Hawk ownership codes. I'm also using SabersHD if that would cause any conflicts but I believe that's just a saber texture replacer.
First I wanted to tell you that it is a nice mod, thanks for making it.
I ran into a problem with it though. I play with the M4-78 mod and it conflict with that mod. The dialog with T3 permitting to make appear the new planet on the astromap wasn't present. Re-running the patcher for M4-78 resolved the problem, but the option to build a lightsaber with T3 disappear. So I guess both mods must edit the same file.
There is another incompatibility issue with the lightsaber mod SLM v2.0 (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/551-schematic-lightsaber-mod-slm/). This mod add lightsabers and their schematics giving you the ability to build them on the workbench. To learn the schematics, you gain a force power at the end of the "build a lightsaber" quest. Asking T3 to build you a lightsaber prevent you from learning that ability, as you bypass the normal quest. Not much you can do I guess, just signaling it.
Thanks for bringing this up! M4-78 compatibility was an unfortunate oversight but there is a patch to correct that coming in the next update I'm slating for first week of August 2021.
As far as the SLM mod, I will work to address how I can make this mod compatible. There's certainly a way, just got to find it!
I just finished the prologue and I am on the Ebon Hawk for the first time. I downloaded this mod and when talking to T3 he doesn't give me anything and he doesn't have a new dialogue option. But when I restarted to see if the mod was installed correctly I got the Constructing a lightsaber quest the moment I got my force powers. Is there anyway for me to make the mod work on my existing save or will I have to start over?
I just tried from a save that I did not have the mod on it before. Loaded up just before leaving peragus and when I talked to T3 I was able to get the identification codes from him then go to the security station and upgrade him. Then it allowed me to construct a lightsaber with T3. If this isn't working for you on your existing save if you could PM your installog if you have it I will wake a look. Should be in the tslpatcher folder of the mod download.
In addition to my previous reply, I should clarify T3 doesn’t give you an actual item. He just says he gives you identification codes. Let me know how things go for you. Feedback from people like you are the only way I can know how to improve this to make it easier to start and or work properly for all installs.
I am using the steam version of the TSLRCM. I cant seem to find the install log in the TSLRCM folder, idk if that's a steam issue or not. Also he doesn't have any new dialogue for me, but the security station did have the new option in it asking for identification, but the only option I could put in was ....jedi1234 I believe. Thanks for the quick replies!
I had a save right before you get T3 after Kreia and Sion fight. I went to it and he gave me the identification stuff. But once on the ship there is no dialogue options for the lightsaber and the security system still only has the jedi1234 option.
So the good news is we now know the problem, the fix, and the solution!
The Problem: using Steam Workshop content such as TSLRCM creates essentially a second KOTOR 2 directory. The contents of that directory override anything that is going on in the main directory. So while you installed the mod correctly, it was installed as if you were not using the Steam version. So files that share a name in the Steam override directory are overriding the mod files. Which is why some parts of the mod worked and others didn't. I just ran an install of KOTOR II and the Steam version of TSLRCM and installed per the ReadMe and reproduced your exact situation.
The Fix: Reinstall the mod but this time when the TSLPatcher asks you to browse for the correct folder, go to your main Steam folder then steamapps. Then workshop. content. 208580 (This is KOTOR 2's game code) then find the TSLRCM file. For TSLRCM +M4-78 it will be called 1402798020. For regular TSLRCM it will be called 485537937. Choose which of these folders you have for TSLPatcher to install to and let it work. Load up the game and you should find that everything works as it should. If you are using other than English TSLRCM your folder code will be a little different.
The Solution: While this mod had a simple compatibility fix for the Steam version of TSLRCM, not all will. I would definitely recommend doing a clean install of KOTOR 2 and using the TSLRCM download found on DeadlyStream. Far too many issues arise out of using the Steam version of the mod and if you have more than just my mod downloaded it's likely they're going to experience issues as well.
It works!! Following exactly what you said it worked perfectly. I will take your advice though and reinstall all my mods. I hadn't modded Kotor ever until 2 days ago lol so I'm still new to everything. I was using some mods through Vortex, some through TSLpatcher, and TSLRCM+m78 through steam. So I was experiencing some weird issues. But hopefully getting everything off DeadlyStream will make everything better. Thank you again for the quick support, if you ever need someone to test out any mod for you message me anytime!
I installed this after leaving Telos, now on my first planet in the hunt for the Jedi masters. I didn't see any dialogue with T3 to start this. Did I read the instructions wrong and will need to start a new game for this to take effect?
No, a new game is not necessary for this to work. You should be able to approach him aboard the Ebon Hawk and he will give you the identification codes before talking about anything else.
To clarify on the instructions, once he gives you the codes, ask him to help you construct a lightsaber and he will direct you to the security system on the Ebon Hawk.
If you do not see a dialog option to construct a lightsaber then the mod likely hasn't installed properly.

I'm not able to get the option to discuss this with T3.
Where am I supposed to talk to him to get the codes? I can't recall that happening.
Can you please give a more detailed explanation on how to get this working? (i have the quest triggered, just no option off of T3)
Also, you don't really have a crystal at that point, so how does that work?
