    UPDATE January 29, 2023:
Comments for this mod are locked indefinitely, because I am beyond fed up with people STILL posting questions or "bug" reports that are already addressed on the mod's description tab or the FAQ article for my KotOR same-gender romance mods, or asking for my mod to be added to the Steam Workshop despite the fact that I already explicitly said on both the mod description and the FAQ article that I DO NOT WANT ANY OF MY MODS TO BE ADDED TO THE STEAM WORKSHOP.
I do not get paid to keep holding the hands of mod users who are unwilling to read through and follow my instructions. Enough is enough.

PLEASE READ THROUGH EVERYTHING ON THE MOD'S DESCRIPTION TAB AND THE FAQ ARTICLE FOR MY KOTOR SAME-GENDER ROMANCE MODS BEFORE POSTING ANY
    QUESTIONS OR REPORTING ANY ISSUES!

I am very tired of getting questions or "bug" reports that are already addressed in the mod description and the FAQ article. I do not get paid for making mods and answering the same questions over and over.

Before asking any question about the mod or reporting your issue with the mod:

    • Make sure you have followed my instructions to install the mod.
    • Make sure it is not answered on the description tab of the mod.
    • Make sure it is not answered in the FAQ article of my KotOR 2 same-gender romance mods.
    • Make sure you downloaded and installed the installer (.exe) version of The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM) from Deadly Stream.
    • Make sure you DO NOT use the Steam Workshop version of TSLRCM.
    • Make sure you have both KotOR 2 and TSLRCM in English.
Please post your questions or make a bug report ONLY IF all the above do not cover or address your questions or issue!

I read the FAQ and all that stuff but couldn't find a solution to my problem. I installed the mod with the installer, it didnt have any issues as I turned off the Read Only for the kotor 2 folder.

When I talk to Handmaiden in Telos she asks me how the force feels when I try to leave the conversation, she has her hood down and I can tell her to come talk to me or something like that. But I dont get the cutscene of Atris telling her to join and watch me, and she doesnt enter the Ebon Hawk. Ofc I'm playing a female character so I'm not sure what's going on. I made sure to start a new file too.

No mods except for the canon exile look and for tslrcm 1.8.6

Are you sure none of these possible listed reasons for Handmaiden not joining your party in the FAQ article applies to you?

Q: I am using your Handmaiden romance mod while playing as a female player character, but Handmaiden does not join my party after I leave the Telos Academy!

A: If Handmaiden does not join your female Exile's party when you are using my Handmaiden romance mod, the possible causes for this happening include:

      • You did not install my mod correctly: Either you get errors when installing the “Default Installation” option, or you did not install DarthTyren's PartySwap mod first before installing the “PartySwap Compatible” option of my mod.
      • You have a holorec.dlg file in the Override folder, either from a mod you are using or a mod you previously used. If there is a holorec.dlg in your Override folder, delete it.
      • You may have some leftover Steam Workshop folders in your Steam directory that overrides the portion where Handmaiden is supposed to join yourparty. To solve this, go to the Steam Workshop folder in your Steam directory (/\Steam\SteamApps\Workshop\), and delete all the sub-folders in the Steam Workshop folder.
      • SImilar to the above, you may have some leftover files from a mod you used in your previous playthrough in your KotOR 2 game directory that interferes the portion where Handmaiden is supposed to join your party. The best way to solve this is to uninstall your game, delete your KotOR 2 game folder entirely, and then re-install the game and the mods you want to use.

Did you encounter any other problems in the secret academy on Telos, like when you free the party members or fight the Handmaiden sisters?
What is your operating system? Are you playing KotOR 2 on Steam?

Nice mod, just a small suggestion, I see that if you install this mod you don't need the Visa's one, that note could be placed higher on the description. I know it mentions the Visa scene triggers but it doesn't explicitly says this mod also makes Visa available for romancing until the bottom of the description. Thank you for your contribution.

I do not mention at the beginning that this mod also makes Visas' (her name is Visas, not Visa) romance scene available for female Exiles because Visas' romance is not the main focus of this mod. Any Visas romance content from this mod is merely the by-product of Handmaiden and Disciple's content, and how these content interact with each other in the game.

The entire reason this mod enables Visas' romance scene after the Rebuilt Jedi Enclave is to account for users who choose the Default Installation version of this mod, as female Exiles will not recruit Disciple in the Default version of this mod, Visas needs to show up to replace Disciple in that scene for female Exiles.

Not to mention, any information related to how this mod interacts with any other mod belongs to the Mod Compatibility section of my mod info.

From the FAQ article of my same-gender romance mods for KotOR 2:

Q: Will you upload your mods to Steam Workshop?

A: NO. I do not use Steam Workshop, and frankly, I hate the Steam Workshop for how terrible it is for modding KotOR 2 and how much mod compatibility issues it causes. I suggest you read this post on why using Steam Workshop is NOT recommend for modding KotOR 2. Therefore, I DO NOT want any of my mods to be added to the Steam Workshop.

I understand that not playing on PC makes modding the KotOR games harder, but the fact is that the Stream Workshop is awful for modding the KotOR games, so my response to any request for me to add any of my mods to the Steam Workshop will always be a firm NO. Do NOT expect me to upload any of my mods to the Steam Workshop, full stop.

Since you are trying to bump the issue by quoting an older comment, have you tried the solution I suggested in my replies to other users who posted the same issue?

"When you install my mod, if you got an error message that says along the lines of "[ERROR] Unhandled exception: Access violation at address [a bunch of numbers]. Write of address [a bunch of numbers] (0)", try right-click your KotOR 2 folder or subfolders, go to Properties and uncheck the "Read-only", then try to install my mod again to see if it works."

The mod's description and Read Me file have also stated:
Before you install, make sure that your KotOR 2 main game directory and all subfolders are NOT set as read-only, otherwise you may get an error message that says along the lines of "[ERROR] Unhandled exception: Access violation at address..." Right-click your KotOR 2 folder and subfolders, go to Properties and uncheck the "Read-only".

Have you read through the mod's description and Read Me file, and follow my instructions to install the mod?

A few strange warnings. I did a clean install of TSL with some of the mods in the kotor subreddit. I'm getting several warnings:

Edit: The weirdest thing. I run the installer a few times and the warnings keep going down. I've got it down to just 9 now.
    Edit 2: 3 now
Edit 3: 0 now. I'm flummoxed. Let's see if it works.

Final Edit: I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game completely again. Applied the 1.8.6 TSLRCM patch with zero other mods and then this one with no reported warnings. Still fails to recruit handmaiden on my safe right before leaving the Telos acadamy. I have zero idea what I'm doing wrong at this point.

Actual Final Edit: It was the subfolders in the steam workshop folder. That took a few hours to diagnose, lol. Maybe that one should be bolded or something on the FAQ? Either way, thanks for making the mod! Huge dedication from you for it; kudos!

Posts like yours are exactly why I keep emphasizing the need to read through the mod information and my FAQ article before asking questions multiple times: in the mod description, Read Me file and my pinned comment above. Be more careful when you read through a mod's information and the mod author's instruction, so you would less likely to miss out information that might solve your problem.

Always keep in mind that there is a possibility that the answer to your question or issue might already in the mod's manual or the mod author's instructions, especially if the mod actually has an FAQ section. PLEASE make an actual effort to NOT give modders more trouble than necessary. Modders do not get paid for making mods and for answering the same questions over and over.

Quick question before installation, do NPC's(and even PC's) still refer about you "correctly?" Like how when you meet Atton the first time, if you are female he flirts, male he mouths off. Or when Atton... unalives, if you were female he would say that he loved you since he first saw you. Stuff like that. Is that still there?

Yes to both your examples about Atton specifically. This mod focuses on Handmaiden and Disciple's romances, so the only thing this mod changes about Atton's dialogue is he will correctly refer to the male Exile with he/him pronouns in the cutscenes of Atton being jealous of Disciple, which only happens if you have higher Influence with Disciple than with Atton. The rest of Atton's dialogue is not affected by this mod, so he will still react to male and female Exiles differently, and female Exiles will still be able to romance Atton.

If you want Atton to flirt with a male Exile, you need to install my Atton Rand and Male Exile Romance mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor2/mods/926

      That's awesome!

Is it compatible with the Visas Female Exile Mod?
and if so, which order of installation?

Edit: never mind, just saw the answer under Compatibility for this Mod. Thank you so much, you're awesome ;)

Have you read my FAQ article?

Q: I got "Destination file "Modules\003EBO.mod" does not exist at the specified location! Skipping section... [Error]" and many other similar errors when installing your mod, even though I had installed the installer (.exe) version of The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod.

A: First, go to the folder where your KotOR 2 game is installed, and go to the Modules folder. Check if these files are in your Modules folder:

      • 003EBO.mod
      • 006EBO.mod
      • 262TEL.mod
      • 301NAR.mod
      • 303NAR.mod
      • 402DXN.mod
      • 602DAN.mod
      • 610DAN.mod
      • 650DAN.mod
      • 907MAL.mod
      • 908MAL.mod
      • 909MAL.mod
      • 950COR.mod

If you cannot find these .mod files in your Modules folder, your issue might be caused by your computer registering two different installation locations for KotOR 2. I suggest you check out this guide on how to make sure your computer recognize the version of KotOR 2 game where you want to install KotOR 2 mods on. While the guide focuses on Steam version of KotOR 2, you could edit the registry to make your computer properly recognise the installation location of your KotOR 2 game.

Here are the default installation locations of KotOR 2 depending on the game version:

      • Steam (32-bit Windows): C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II
      • Steam (64-bit Windows): C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II
      • Retail CD (32-bit Windows): C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\
      • Retail CD (64-bit Windows): C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\
      • GOG: C:\GOG Games\Star Wars - KotOR2

that is highly likely the reason, but i'm still new to the whole PC thing, and quite dumb when it comes to certain aspects of it, like the creating a new registry path, which it told me couldn't be used when i tried. but i have one thing that's sort of making me scratch my head. The ReadMe for the TSLCM says KoTOR2 would have TSL Restored Content Mod 1.8.6 written somewhere on the main menu of the game if installed correctly, and i didn't see that, which tells me i might not have installed it correctly in the first place. I put it in the kotor2 file, but not in Override.

I'm probably making this more complicated then it actually is, but this is my first PC lol

If you do not see the words "TSL Restored Content Mod 1.8.6" in the main menu when you open your KotOR 2 game, then it does mean TSLRCM wasn't installed correctly to your KotOR 2 game. I suggest you try to reinstall TSLRCM first.

You still need to make sure your PC registers the correct installation path of your KotOR 2 game, by referring to the guide I linked in my previous reply. Re-read the guide and ensure you have followed the author's instructions. You need to know if you have Windows 64-bit or 32-bit. If you don't know how to find it out, see this: https://www.lifewire.com/am-i-running-a-32-bit-or-64-bit-version-of-windows-2624475

i very much appreciate the help you gave me, and it gave me insight into what was creating the problem. Did a little digging and discovered that the root of the problem came from the TSLCM creating an alternate mimic file on a different drive altogether, thus creating the issue where it wasn't installed correctly. I have figured it out and got everything installed correctly.

Looking forward to finally winning the heart of my first video game crush XD

Hi, I have a problem of the human error type and i was wondering if you had a solution for me. This is my first time playing kotor 2, i had a friend of mine set up the mods for me, just TSLRCM and this mod, because i wanted to be a Lesbian. I got to dantooine and met the disciple, and without knowing the consequences of my actions, asked him to join my party. Now he has replaced Handmaiden on the party screen and i can no longer take handmaiden on missions (though she is still on the ship and i can still advance her plot somewhat).

I thought i was doing ok with my save files, but all four saves i have on dantooine are after i added him to my party, and the last save i have before Dantooine is about 15 hours before this. I had no idea that asking him to join would replace her on the menu, and now without the party change mod installed i appear to just be fucked. Before i give up on this game entirely is there anything I can do?

Where did you accidentally ask Disciple to join your party: in the Enclave Sublevel or Khoonda?

If Disciple accidentally joined your party when you use the Default Installation option of my mod, the only solution is to load a save before he joined.

Before making my first reply to you, I did see your original comment that your only save before recruiting Disciple was about 15 hours before recruiting. Unfortunately, reloading that save really is the only way to solve your issue,

Even if you decide to reinstall the game and install the PartySwap mod, you still need to load a save before Disciple joins your party for PartySwap to work. The fact that Handmaiden and Disciple share the same slot in the party selection screen is in fact why the PartySwap mod needs to create a new item to allow you to add or remove Handmaiden from your party.

I will see what I can do to prevent players who use the Default Installation version of my mod from accidentally recruiting Disciple on Khoonda. UPDATE: I just updated the mod. The latest version should now prevent Female Exiles from accidentally recruit Disciple in Khoonda when using the Default Installation version. Unfortunately, in your case, you still need to load a save before Disciple joins you to bypass the issue. Sorry for the inconcenience.
