It says install reshade, you click it and nothing happens. Then you just put stuff into the folder and hope it works without it because what else are you gonna do? Multiple people asking this in comments, no answers given. Why make a mod and then not tell people how to use it lol
First, you'll want to find out what DirectX you are using. You can do this by going to Documents > Rockstar Games, and open the config file with notepad. Towards the bottom it will tell you what version you are using. For me, it's: "Renderer:DirectX 11"
After you know that, you can start the install. Open the most recent version of Reshade and select the game, you may have to manually search for it. It will ask you for the DirectX version, select the version that your settings file said the game was using. As the description says, just skip past the FX part, it's all there already. Reshade should now be done.
Open your games main directory (Where the .exe is) and move all of the files you extracted from Realistic_LA and just put them in your main directory. Make sure to clean up any left over files from your downloads (optional, I just like to be clean.) and you're done. Enjoy.
I'm trying this out in 2024 in combination with V-Patch v1.1b. This pushed the DX3D to 11, so I'm guessing when installing Reshade DX11 should be picked. With regards to the reshade itself, I have to disable the first two options as they just alter the colour grading so aggressively, that I'm seeing way too many artefacts on dark areas. Also Magic Bloom makes the menus look too ugly.... Are we supposed to turn Windows HDR on or off with this?
Hi, when I applied the reshade, all the wooden parts of the wall turned purple-ish when you close enough and became normal colour when you are far away. How do I fix this?
did the files change or everyone is talking about something else?? there's only .ini files and a folder containing textures in the mod , there is no installer or .exe why everyone talking about "install" and choosing "directx" !!? how do we actually install this mod and please check the files again before answering
could you make a instruction on how to install the mod. you have just given about 1/3 of the info needed to install this'
How to install: downland reshade and install choose LANoire.exe and Direct3D9 : direct3d9 does not exist on "reshade" do you mean directx9?! choose skip : skip what? there are multible prompts to skip put all files into steamapps\common\L.A.Noire : in the main folder or in (reshade-shaders) folder? run the game enjoy!!!
dude, can u make a trainer for L.A. Noire. For eg:, we can spawn any vehicles, making it easier to get the achievements of 100% of the 95 vehicles so we don't have trouble to go through everywhere searching for a vehicle. So make a trainer like that. If you don't know what am talking, then take a look at GTA 4 Liberty Legacy Mod, where we can spawn, have unlimited weapons, Godmode etc. So make a trainer like that in L.A. Noire too. It's my request...
