Experience this classic game with sharper graphics!
I reworked/updated over 405 textures for this game to make it look nicer. I used the original textures as a basis to keep the look as close to the original as possible, plus for character textures I used elements of the ones in Soul Reaver 2 to unify the looks and add more detail. It's still not comprehensive, but I think it's still a nice upgrade.

What's in the pack?
The pack contains two files you can use with Texmod. (I know, not everyone likes it, but that's the only program I know how to use. I'm happy to collaborate with people who can make easier to use packages.)
Now the textures are separeted into 3 files, so you can choose whether you only want the characters updated, or the UI & Environment as well.

How to use:

1. Download my mod and unzip it to a folder of your choosing.
2. Download Texmod: https://www.moddb.com/downloads/texmod4
3. Unzip it anywhere (I recommend your Desktop) and open Texmod.exe
4. Click the big Folder button under Target Application and select defiance.exe in your LOKD installation folder.
(e.g. if you have a Steam copy: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Legacy of Kain Defiance)
5. On The Package Mode tab click the little folder button in the middle, and add one or all of my .tpf files.
6. Click Run.

That's it! You're good to go.
(It might take a few seconds longer for the game to launch while it loads the new textures.)
You'll have to repeat steps 3-6 every time you start the game, but it will go much faster the second time.
If you have a Steam copy of the game and it fails to launch, try copying Steam.dll & steam.exe into the game's installation folder.
