Version 1.7
Joryu Must Die 1.7 Change log:
- Buffed Gai Amon, all coliseum fighters and final boss health. - Coliseum Satake of Chains now uses LJ Soma move set (it was unused in the game and we can't have it go to waste like that).
The Man Who Lost His Judgment moveset:
- Finishing holds now have invincibility frames, instead of just being uninterruptable. - Yakuza charged △ attack is now the ExHeat Boxer △,△,△,△ combo, that blends into the Yakuza reversals and finishing up with the same heat action. - Crane and Tiger light attacks damage buffed, because they are slower. - Yakuza Style: weaving after damaged. Weaving counters have i-frames and more damage. - Yakuza Style: L1 + △ and L1 + ☐ boxer moves. - Agent Style: backflip evade with X after being damaged ( may follow-up with ☐/△/◯ to trigger some gadget moves). - Agent Style : △ after being damaged for a snake throw attempt (bosses may block the throw).
Moveset update for 1.7: - Agent Style : △ after being damaged for a snake throw attempt changed to ◯ to avoid accidental activations. - Agent Style: backflip evade with X after being damaged -> removed follow-ups with ☐/△ because they were clunky; ◯ to wire snatch still works - Yakuza Style: weaving after damaged removed to avoid accidental activations that could lead to unfortunate situations. - Implemented the quick style switching ( credits to FilipN389, please download the original mod at https://www.nexusmods.com/likeadragongaiden/mods/123 )
- Restored original △ ExHeat Combo for Agent (not the L2 Crane variant), looks and performs better than the experimental one.
- English VA update for item.bin for Gaiden Restored Items Addon (please download the rest of the files from the original mod page to have access to the new gear/consumables).

Version 1.5
Joryu Must Die 1.5 Change log:
- Fumiya Sugiura replaces the spear samurai in the coliseum silver matches. Sugiura uses Jin Kuwana's moveset from LJ because it's more fun to play against.
Version 1.4
Joryu Must Die 1.4 Change log:
- Fixed the Nishitani quicktime event issue (might require the Legendary Fighter Pack DLC, but hopefully not). - Added Patriarch Aotsuki (and his stolen drones) to the Coliseum silver fighters pool (replaces the Brave). - Watase and Kiryu lookalikes use their extreme heat modes. - Rebalanced S rank time requirements to fit the increased difficulty.
Version 1.3
Joryu Must Die 1.3 Change log:
-Small fix for Kaito, he was behaving like a gorilla and not using his full potential.
Version 1.2
Joryu Must Die 1.2 Change log:
- Improved Coliseum matches "Four Kings, Four Fights" and "Minamida Grand Prix": - Bosses have more hp, more damage and the time requirements for S, A, B ranks have been increased to compensate. - Robot Ryuji boss now uses the unarmed moveset and starts in extreme heat mode.
- Replaced Tournament 1, Tournament 2 and Timed Match with actually challenging boss fights. Now you get to fight Yuki Tsuruno (replaces Hammerhead), Kosei Shishido (replaces Zhang Wei), Homare Nishitani (replaces Cook) and Masaharu Kaito (replaces Ninja) in the Coliseum. These opponents have reasonably high hp and damage, so either bring good gear or peak skills. Time requirements for ranks, money and fans gained increased.
-Updated the item.bin for Gaiden Restored Items Addon (please download the rest of the files from the original mod page to have access to the new gear/consumables).
Version 1.1
Joryu Must Die 1.1 Change log:
- Street encounters damage and health scaling for premium adventure (same values as the final chapter).
Version 1.0
Joryu Must Die Change log:
General changes:
- Improved Hard difficulty (x2 normal difficulty damage). - All Bosses and most mini-bosses have more health and damage (individually tweaked). - Street encounters damage and health scale with each chapter. - Readjusted skills cost and values (mostly decreased cost to reduce grind). - Decreased health and damage upgrade values. - More heat generated when attacking. - Rebalanced some coliseum allies to be of higher ranks and stats (more viable team combinations).
Note: Gear has been untouched so mods like Gaiden Restored Items are compatible and also to allow each player to further customize difficulty (if you feel that the game is still too easy, don't use gear or healing items).
