Will almost certainly be compatible. If the game has never been launched yet then start a new game to create a save file and you can easily find the desired folder if you sort the files by date. Usually the gamepass saves are here: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.NAME_and_symbols\ File names may be different, but saves from steam can be renamed to gamepass ones.
