When using the edited Mafia 3 Deluxe Edition exe the game crashes at the title screen. When I use the original exe it starts and can play, But starting the scripthook crashes it.
I think I found a fix for anyone having the crashing issue. I managed to fix it by launching the game using the launcher.exe executable in the game folder at least once after moving the script hook files into your game folder. I only had to do it once. From there the game launched as normal through steam.
I have a question to the author of this script if you're monitoring this. For whatever reason, the Nvidia Geforce App doesn't work with the definitive edition of the game. You can force it to work if you rename it to mafia3.exe. I like using the Geforce app because they've got a great sharpening filter that makes the game look much better. Unfortunately changing the name of the executable causes the script hook to not work. Is it possible to get your script hook to work if the executable is renamed to mafia3.exe? I'm really hoping to have the best of both worlds. Great graphics and the ability to turn off the annoying "witness calling police" using your script hook.
Trying to get this running but its just not working right. I've installed all the files to my steam directory for the game, the game boots up, plays all the company logo intro videos, shows the autosave warning, shows the DLC check, and then right when it should be loading the main menu it just closes the game entirely.
I've already looked and there is no plugins folder in my game directory, and I've restarted Steam several times.
