mod organzizer doesnt support marvel rivals???? i down loaded thr app directly off the link provided but when i try and make a new instance it says it doesnt support this game???? can someone please make a video tutorial or even confirm this even works cause theres a lot of fake/bugged mods out rn
This mod is a plugin to make mod organizer support modding marvel rivals. Follow the intallation steps in the description: Extract the zip file into this directory inside MO2: "plugins\basic_games\games." After installing MO2, go into its files and drop the extracted file into this path.
I installed mod organizer on an external hard drive, so my path is a bit different. However, when you install mod organizer, it should set up a folder called "Modding" somewhere in your files so try searching for it. I'm not sure where it typically sets it up, sorry. When you do find it, the path to set up this mod will be "Modding/plugins/basic_games/games" and then you just export the file from the mod in there.
while this is a valid solution for loose file modding its a bad one for an fps game since you will always have the overhead of using mo2's virtual filesystem which costs 20%+ fps in skyrim. Nexus app with symlinking should work about as well
Does anyone else run into this problem? I downloaded a mod and got it working, then found another mod I wanted that affected the same character. Set it up the same way and disabled the one I had before, and enabled the new one, but the old mod's model is still there with no textures. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Well, what I did wrong was I put ".bak" on pak files that I didnt extract yet. So, I only had the original character and vfx files, meaning I can only put ".bak" or delete the "pakchunkCharacter-Windows.pak." If I mess with the others like the HQ,LQ, or WWiseAudio, without having the stuff for them extracted and put in, the game crashes.
I have N idea how to recreate the content directory i have done everything up until this point and I don't know how to continue. I can just see my file explorer pulled up and I dont know how to change it.
Help! If I enter the game through MO2, the main screen shows that steam initialization failed, please check the local steam connection, do I need to fill in the steam information in the MO2 Settings? Maybe that's why I can't pass?
I followed the steps in the section "SETTING UP BASE FILES INSIDE MOD ORGANIZER 2". I extracted the Character and Wwise Audio paks, a VFX folder was also extracted alongside the character pak. I tried extracting everything twice just in case. I haven't installed any mod yet, but when I boot up the game every character is invisible and the game crashes immediately upon loading any menu that features character models. I don't know why this is happening as I have verified the file path to be correct and I'm launching the game through MO.
same thing is happening to me, i tried another mod manager a while ago with the same effect happening. all my mods have the same structure as the base files mod but everytime i launch the game all models are invisible and game crashes.
edit: seems i got the directory wrong for the files so i will try to fix that and see if the models still appear invisible, i followed what the instructions said but i see the folders haven't been added where they were supposed to. user error as always :p
edit #2: yeeeep, definitely user error the first time around because this time i got the mods showing up in game ! very happy to be able to use mo2 as it makes the pain of keeping track of loose files much much easier. my advice is double check where the directory is for both base files and modded files as that was what messed me up. very nice plugin that's bound to save a bunch of time. endorsed (:
