Was working great, everything looked super crisp before however today's update seems to have broken this. Anyone else?

Yeah its bs. Ik some competitive games disable Engine.ini simply because it can offer advantages in visibility like disabling foliage or shadows people hide in, but this game doesnt really have any sort of enviromental stealth play so it was completely harmless.

Until they make their game more scalable performance wise and they add a TAA off option, disabling Engine.ini edits was a bad move. I get motion sickness from TAA, so now I can't play the game anymore. Glad I didn't buy anything! Never will now

I am not sure how it works, but people have been making "pak" mods to get the ini edit effects back, is it possible it can be doable with this mod too? From my understand, the pak mods are practically identical, I have used mods from other games like Dying Light 2 that have similar pak mods like this and they can be edited by just changing the file type to "cfg" or w/e, editing the file, then changing file type back to "pak". But my knowledge of the mods ends there

Is it possible to someone do mod for aspect ratio. I want to use strech res but the game dosent let use 16:10 or 4:3. Or something to get fullscreen strech

Something doesn't make sense with this mods screenshots and what actually happens. In my tests, it simply disables reflections and maybe some other adjustments not as easily noticeable. But it in no way makes the image look better (clearer) AND adds fps. Maybe it means only for XeSS and FSR, and not "every" like it says. Maybe the actual "GameUserSettings" should be included as well, so there can't be any confusion, but this mod doesn't say it requires anything other than TAAU and 100% res, and that is "works with all AA". Something should be elaborated, like which AA it should be used with, because "every AA" is wrong. You do not gain FPS and clarity, by using TAAU over things like DLAA+Framegen

Adding this edit so people aren't misled -
Ok sorry, I see now what the mod does and its intended use. I was stupidly standing still comparing the two and also focused too much on reflections, but it does actually help even when standing still. It helps a lot. It also helps a lot for very distant graphics. Comparing with VS without the mod in a small room doesn't fully show its use either, because DLSS will look amazing up close, but its flaws start to show at distances. It actually helps so much that it almost justifies losing the 50-60fps VS using DLSS. It is almost like going from a 60hz monitor to a 240hz when comparing the blurriness of the game. Sounds weird but it's true.

It is a great mod, I highly recommend everyone to try it, even if you think you don't want to take the FPS hit from not using DLSS, check it out, high FPS is nice but so is being able to see fast moving objects clearly that would otherwise be blurry

You need to select TAAU in game for it to work and leave resolution at 100%.

It then replaces TAAU with FXAA, so you get zero temporal smear.

If you did not do this, the mod will not work properly. Please follow the guide.

The mod is the same as the screenshots. In the screenshots you can clearly see FXAA is sharper than TSR is.

IF you want to use another AA type/enable upscaling, then using the upscaling version with preferably TSR. It wont be as clear but its more compatible if you dislike FXAA

I repeated the "enable TAAU > make sure resolution is 100% > exit > apply engine.ini" a few times, for a few AA settings. There was nothing close to the quality change in the screenshot. I took comparison screenshots too. Like I said though, without your GameUserSettings, which isn't a asset of the game (it's just a text file) the comparison isn't 1:1. But from what I seen when I tried it, it seemed like it literally disabled reflexes, which is quite the opposite of the screenshot for the mod

The mod features lumen reflections, I assume you're using SSR reflections then.

Or you're using Lumen reflections with Lumen GI disabled (and disabling Lumen GI will disable Lumen reflections, regardless of what you have selected in game)

Thats why reflections are disabled, the mod disables SSR reflections because they have a dithered look to them with weaker forms of AA. Lumen reflections however dont have this look when they are smoothed out which is why I was able to keep them in tact.

Remember - the goal of the mod is to provide an anti-aliasing solution with zero temporal smear or ghosting, NOT to improve the graphics or anything. The extra reflective surfaces only exist in this mod when using Lumen because it just so happens making them more reflective makes them less noisy which was needed.

The mod is clearer AA, so if thats what you want and are expecting then that's what you will get.

Its also clearer in motion too, because TAA/DLSS cause motion smearing/blur when the camera is panned and that is completely gone.

Thank you for your comment! I appreciate it. Also you can get performance back using the performance version of the mod
