Most people who installed the mod had no issues, and it runs perfectly fine for me. I don’t know what’s causing your issue, but it’s likely your system couldn’t handle it. That’s not on me.
Can you solve the problem of old AMD cards, such as the RX 580? The game crashes at first, and now after the new update, the game does not work at all. I think this is because the RX 580 card does not support the latest version of DirectX 12, which is 12.1. I think this is the problem. Can something like this be solved? Because both Nixxes and AMD I do not think they will solve the problem.
I know that the card is old, but it is unreasonable that it is unable to run the game. You can see that very old cards from Nvidia, such as the GTX 750, GTX 1050, and GTX 1060, are able to run the game without a problem, and these cards are even weaker than the RX 580. This is completely illogical.
The claim that the RX 580 should be able to run Spider-Man 2 just because older Nvidia cards can is fundamentally flawed. This isn’t a matter of raw GPU power but one of software compatibility. The game requires AMD’s 25.1.1 driver update, and the RX 580 is simply not supported for that update. Comparing the RX 580 to the GTX 750, GTX 1050, or GTX 1060 ignores the key factor: driver support longevity. Nvidia continues to provide updates for those cards, while AMD has moved on from the RX 580. No matter how powerful the RX 580 is, without the necessary driver update, it cannot run the game. It’s not 'illogical' it’s a matter of software constraints. A more powerful car won’t run if it lacks the required fuel. In this case, the RX 580 doesn’t have the necessary 'fuel' (the 25.1.1 driver), making it incompatible with Spider-Man 2, regardless of its theoretical performance.
