After updating the game, when launching the game with mods, in the initial menu before launching the game, all the settings lines look like lines of code. And when entering the game itself, the initial screensavers are not skipped, and after all the screensavers, there is just a black screen. Only Checking the Integrity of Game Files in Steam helps to restore everything and play without Mods. Apparently Overstrike or Mods should update their versions to the current game?
the mod didn't stop working, you just don't know how sm2 modding works, delete toc and toc.bak, verify the game files again and open the game, you'll see its fixed, then reinstall the mod
Everyone saying the normal Mj face is DEI and Woke are brain dead, the face model they used (who was also mj in the first game) was in a bad car accident and had to have surgery which is why her chin/jaw looked so square in this game. The people who called it wokeness are ironically the ones pushing their (hateful) agenda. It was just an unfortunate thing that happened.
They could have easily touched up her face to make it look the exact same as it did on the first game. Highly doubt the model loves the fact that her horribly disfigured face, that was still healing post surgery btw(she looks much better now), was immortalized in this game.
The only one showing stupidity is you, it was just as simple as reusing the model used in the Remastered version of the game. Using the car accident (I'm glad ms. Stephaine is well) has literally nothing to do with this issue.
but why does her irl accident have to change the face in-between games? I'm not crying woke, but that seems odd, why not just use the old one as a base?

This is not a movie, an head model doesn't have to look like the real model.
In some cutscenes, there's some floating bits of skin over MJs shoulders (I assume this is from the neck model or something). Just wanted to let you know in case that's a bug.
anyone who genuinely believes the rhetoric of "nexus is gonna delete this mod" is actually a clown however this game does have a lot of slop in it, including mj's face change

Don't cope to this nonsense.

It's really sad that we live in a time when we have to worry about whether these modes are forcibly deleted or not
