Scarlet Spider is originally colored that way because it's Ben Reilly's costume in the comics. He's a genetic clone of Peter Parker. So even though the costume itself isn't entirely scarlet red, it's named Scarlet Spider because The Daily Bugle dubbed that name for Ben Reilly's Spider-man. The suit itself is originally just a red bodysuit, and the blue hoody with a spider design on it was just something Ben bought at a museum.
Just gotta leave that comment because my (possible) autistic ass assumes you think the devs created that costume out of thin air and gave it an unfitting name for it. ...Also I'm just a big fan over the original Scarlet Spider design.

I am too! The name and description are just a joke since I thought "Scarlet Spider Recolor" would be a boring name for the mod. This was the first one I worked on for SMPC and mainly a way to learn how the textures work, but I liked it enough to put up on the Nexus. Plus I think an all red (or more red) suit makes sense given the direction more modern Scarlet Spider costumes have gone in, like with Kaine's take on the costume

I tried doing it myself but have failed repeatedly, making some sort of color shift between red and black each time.
