About this mod

TLDR: Faster, more consistent swinging. A collection of tweaks to game config files which enhances maximum swing speed, allows for better horizontal momentum control, and allows for better momentum transfer when web zipping.

MILES MORALES EDITION

NEW BETA BUILD AVAILIBLE:
WIP build now available for testing! The "Webslinger" update for TAMT is designed to make you feel truly like an incredibly powerful superhero - its less "realistic" (I think this is a silly argument when talking about a super hero who by current scientific understanding cannot exist) and more for feeling like you're swinging back in the days of Spider-Man 2. There is weight, and consequences to your momentum, you can go REALLY fast, but you can also slow down - its down to how you play with the movement controls.

The latest build requires some sort of camera mod for the best effects - I use the TASM camera from SMPC Ultimate Combat, however the camera from Unlimited Physics works too. The final release will include my own swing camera changes.

Features:
Webs can reach out farther to buildings in front of you now
Maximum speed is WAY higher, and you can control how fast you are going very precisely using the Freedive button as well as moving forward/backward on your movement keys/left analog stick
Parkour speed is improved
Wallrun transitions and jumps have better speed consistency

A brief summary of the tweaks:
- Maximum swing speed, as well as terminal velocity, has been increased. Utilize free diving and maintain horizontal trajectory in your swings to gain massive speed.
- The amount of boost provided by web zipping has been increased. Additionally, web zipping when swinging fast, as long as you maintain your trajectory, will maintain more momentum than it used to.
- You will lose less momentum when zipping around corners and over rooftops. Combine this with some strategic web zipping to gain some awesome air time.
- Perfect point launches will send you flying further and faster, and roll jumps (ie - falling to the ground and then pressing jump immediately to leap back up) will maintain more momentum.
- Overhauled "Input Boost" values and progression. Utilize your forward/back keys (or the forward and back position on your joystick) to
gain some serious speed boost or even slow yourself down for tight
corners/relaxed swinging.
- (Optional) More realistic representation of momentum with regards to gravity. Fall faster, and turning in mid air is now way harder. You are forced to deal with the momentum you have accumulated (to a certain degree) and must utilize clever swing angles or web zips to deal with tight turns.
- Faster sprinting, higher jumping, and certain parkour elements are faster (wall running, wall jumping, pole swinging) Work is still being done to figure out how to speed up the other parkour elements!
- 3 Swinging presets to cater for speed preferences.
- (Optional) An animations module built using my favorite mix of Miles and Peter animations. The idea was to replicate the swinging style of an experienced Peter who enjoys showing off his agility more.

INSTALL GUIDE:
Traversal and Momentum Tweaks is entirely modular. It is up to you what parts of the mod you use in your game! All modules can be installed using the SMPC mod tool.

Step 1: If desired, pick ONE Traversal module from the folder. Both traversal modules make certain elements of parkour and jumping faster and more reactive to your momentum. The weighted version however makes turning in mid air more difficult -
ultimately making for a more realistic feeling swinging experience.

Step 2: If desired, pick ONE Swinging module from the folder. Both swinging modules carry the same feature set, HOWEVER each one has a different max speed. Standard is a lot faster than vanilla, but the faster preset allows you to really embrace
your inner speed freak.

Step 3: Install the Sprinting Module if desired. The only changes within this module affect - as you can guess - your sprinting speed.

Step 4: If desired, install the Animations module. This module contains a mix of Peter and Miles animations used during development of this mod, representing a Peter who, while still being quite experienced,
swings with more flair and shows off more of his agility.

OPTIONAL FILES:
- Minimal Animations Module embraces Peter's default animation set while adding a few new low swing releases (to allow for two side swing sets) plus a few embellished swing kicks.
- Realistic Swinging is a version of the swinging module that has slightly slower speed than standard (but still way faster than vanilla) while still allowing you to gain MASSIVE speed and height using gravity.
- Classic Swinging which is the original, old version of the mod for those who miss it.

Recommended mods to pair along (in this order):
SMPC Ultimate Combat (use the camera only file if you dont want combat tweaks)
Over the shoulder camera (use the fov 0 file)

These camera tweaks go further to enhance swinging and make it feel more visceral. Set your FOV to 25 for maximum effect.

Suggestions welcome. I'm still figuring out how the config files work, so further improvements will come at a later stage.
