Better Default Config is a very basic mod that improves the default configuration files for Mass Effect (english) on PC.
This mod only modifies the **DEFAULT** configuration file. This means that when the game takes the default configuration file and applies it to your own local personalized version. It does not modify your existing settings! This can come up when you clear config, are starting on a fresh installation, or the game decides its time to overwrite your settings (it happens for some reason).
This mod changes some default settings, as the defaults are annoying to always fix - setting default settings to highest (it's a 2008 game, so highest is pretty bad by today's standards), setting the default resolution to match your display, etc. Some small, but nice quality of life changes if you're having to deal with the config files for ME1.
Installation is handled through ME3Tweaks Mod Manager. Drag the mod archive onto the interface, and then import or install. This mod supports 1080p, 1440p, and 4K displays currently - if you want me to add some, comment your resolution, or just modify the DefaultEngine_1080p.ini file in the ConfigFiles folder and then apply the default option.
