if anyone is using this in 2025, make sure you run as an ADMIN. it doesn't crash, but also doesn't complete otherwise. you know it work when your C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Mass Effect 3\Binaries\Win32 folder gets ~6 physxBLAHBLAHBLAH.dll files
Hats off for the effort put into this program, but I'm a bit skeptical this was really needed? I mean, if not any I don't see the mechanism that may have broken. Could it have been something with the usual enableLocalPhysXCore shenanigans before you knew them perhaps?
so i used the program and it worked. the phyx files where installed as necessary, but now its giving me new bs to put up with, "using hardware accelerated PhyX has been requested, but the drivers were out of date. FATAL ERROR - EXITING". as i have bought this game i naturally want to play it. if you, or anyone here really, could provide a solution that would be splendid.
I had issues starting up Mass Effect 2, but installing the NVIDIA PhysX Legacy System Software fixed it, so I guess making a standalone fix for that is unnecessary. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/physx/physx-9-13-0604-legacy-driver/
It's good to have that Legacy PhysX version installed ,i seem to remember one of the Bioshock games needing it too. I always install that followed by the regular PhysX.
It's one of those things i have in a list of progs to install when doing a fresh OS installation. Along with things like OpenAL.exe ,Radtools ,vcredists ,K-lite codec pack e.t.c.
