I really love the Scavenger underarmor and I was so excited to find a mod to use it to replace the default underarmor. The problem I'm having is that it's still sort of there when my Ryder is in her casual outfit? Like she's simultaneously wearing both and they clip through each other terribly. I've used other underarmor replacers before and never had this issue, so I'm a little confused--am I doing something wrong here? Regardless, even if it isn't working the way I'd like it to, the mod is a great idea, and thank you for sharing it.
Edit: Okay, I think my issue is due to the fact that this mod makes changes to the dev/characters/player/player_sp files instead of dev/characters/player/appearances/appearance_player_hmf_und file like other underarmor mods I've used. And I understand *just enough* about modding with Frosty to know how to add an existing underarmor to an existing armor myself, which is nice because doing it that way avoids the face swap bug, but... I don't know how to make the *outer* armor parts of the Scavenger armor invisible? If you could possibly tell me what I need to alter or share the fbproject from this mod for me to compare and figure it out, I'd be incredibly grateful.
Edit edit: After much f*#@ing around, I strongly suspect that making parts invisible involves editing the actual mesh, and that is definitely beyond my skill level--was just wondering if it might be possible if you don't want to share the actual fbproject to request a version of the mod with *just* the invisibility edits, no edits to the dev/characters/player/player_sp files? Either would be much appreciated. (I am so sorry if I am coming across like a pain in the ass.)
The under armors still have the overlaying on the casual outfit bug, which is a shame since I really loved the idea and it looked very cool on my character. I hope you find a way to fix this. I use both Cora and peebee armors, no problems so far, great mod and I hope it improves, thank you.
Nice job. Hyper guardian for Cora might be cool too. It's a shame how dying bioware put in customization in excess to areas like weapons, yet fell so short in terms of your squad. Hell half your squad is basically clowns. Liam, peebee, what on earth were they thinking with their character design. Besides her character peebee doesn't even wear armor. Unless she's a gifted asari biotic even in her maiden years to the point where her barriers rivel that asari pathfinder of theirs who can barrier a whole city, she's likely to take a shot in the gut with it being so exposed.
Awesome mods. That said, I'm trying to teach myself how to mod this game, and I was wondering if you could make some of the project files available. I'm trying to learn how to hide one part of a mesh while keeping the rest visible. I can edit the mesh just fine, but I'm unsure what needs to happen in the Appearance file to make it actually happen. If you're willing to help, thanks a million! If you can't, then thanks a million anyway.
I can upload them when I have the time. I'm in the middle of getting rid of my PC as I don't have a lot of time to play games anymore. It's been so long since I've worked with Frosty and made these mods, so I can't remember all the details. But to make part of the mesh invisible you have to edit the actual mesh in frosty. The mesh is made up of small parts. Have you tried to delete some of the small parts in the mesh? I'm not completely sure, but something in my memory tells me that I did it that way. EDIT: Actually if you hop over here: https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/636/?tab=files and grab the file Cora - Armor Set Project File you should be able to see what I did to make Cora's original armor invisible.
Atherisz has already made this, but it won't be compatible with mods that replace Cora's armor as you have to make her armor invisible to have it not show up on her. https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/399?tab=description
