I encountered a game-breaking glitch where the doors to the tram did not reopen upon returning to Central station. This made it impossible to press the button to travel to the Hot Labs after stepping off the tram. This issue persisted after reloading a save, and also after disabling the mod, so it may not have been a glitch that originated in the mod. I had to disable the mod and revert to an earlier save to complete Noveria.
Nice idea but the elevator doors stay locked, so you're unable to continue. Tried reloading the game multiple games, nothing works. Guess I got to delete the mod, unless anyone has other ideas?
This mod is so impressive, thanks for taking the time to make it. I don't think a lot of the people here understand how much work it takes to make something like this, and how groundbreaking it is for the scene on the whole; on the cutting edge, as it were. Thanks for coming back to it even after all the negativity you're getting, looking forward to more!
Thanks for responding! I was just having a look and saw that you added a changelog for 1.2, but the latest one visible is 1.17. Are the patch notes the same between the two of them?
Listen, I appreciate what this mod is trying to do, but it's a hot mess (no pun intended).
The cut levels are severely under polished, animations are missing, voice lines are missing, it's buggy as hell. The collisions are way off from the models around the entire level, and it's easy to get trapped under the floor or stairs.
Not only that, the pacing of this mod completely throws off Noveria. You can complete the hot labs prior to talking with the security team, missing out on the dialogue and quests. The captain says "sorry Shepherd" as if he met you already, and this skips this entire quest to the point ahead of when you defeat Benezia. Then you go defeat her after the hot labs are finished, making the dialogue with the Rachni Queen bizarre.
Not to mention, it didn't work twice, then on the third reload it worked, the big issue is that it locks the elevator door to the real hot labs in the vanilla game, so unless the mod works, you're SOL and can't complete the quest.
I can appreciate what the author had visioned for this mod, but IMO, avoid it entirely. At best you'll completely skip parts of Noveria, and at worst the hot labs will be entirely impossible to complete.
I don't know what I did wrong, but i got off the tram at the hotlabs and then could not go any further. I tried talking to mera as that what the only thing i could interact with but no matter what the door stayed locked...
I completed LE1 with this mod installed and while I appreciate the Cut Content and Cut Levels (The level designs were really cool), I had a lot of weird animation issues and other stuff like T-Posing that ruined the immersion. I'm also not sure if adding in the map data would even help with this, but I had no idea where I was going or what I was doing most of the time. There was also an ice wall that I assume was supposed to be behind a window/wall but wasn't so it was just floating in the level.
All in all, I experienced no game breaking bugs or soft locks, but the lack of immersion and T-posing left this mod feeling a bit off. There's a lot to like here and a lot I did like, but I'll probably wait for future updates for this mod and Caleston Restored before I use them again.
I'm not entirely sure how different mods work with ME1, is it possible to upgrade the mod from 1.16 to 1.17 mid-game if I haven't started (or even landed on) Noveria yet?
Are you have texture mods installed? When yes you need to revert game to vanilla state because when you install texture mods and after that trying to install content mods this will break game files. When you don't have installed texture mods you can install this mod because it only restores cut down Hot Labs area.
OK thanks! Yeah I have texture mods installed so I know I'll need to restore and start installing again from scratch, I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't break my save file before doing that.
I enjoyed this, it was pretty exciting to see some Mass Effect I'd never experienced before. I can't imagine how much effor this was to implement. I do have a couple of small criticisms:
Dr. Chion definitely feels like part of the reason they cut this whole section, or at least he suffers the most from cutting. His dialogue is a bit confusing, with Shepard's prompts not quite matching what he has to say. TBH A version of the mod that just disables him/related dialogue to him would be a higher quality product (not a complaint on his acting or anything, just the implementation of the dialogue which I assume is mostly on Bioware).
It's too easy to go to the Hot Labs first instead of Rift Station, and once you are there you're locked in. My fault for not reading the description or being more diligent in my saving, but perhaps the Hot Labs should be barred before speaking to Ventralis? I think the logic of the scenes are such that you must meet him and get access before you can go to the Hot Labs. Going to the Hot Labs first, I just got the generic "Sorry Shepard, orders from Benezia" and I was locked into combat. No side quests for me :(
All in all this is incredible to see new content in this old game. Thanks for making this.

I appreciate the work that went into this.
