If you have Classic Heatsinks or Universal Thermal Clips installed and wish to update to this mod you must uninstall them via Manage Target and restore SFXGame to vanilla as this mod mergemods the same data.
Changing the ammo pool size for the Universal Thermal Clips setting has been reduced from changing every weapon ammo variable to just one variable. Personal customization should be much easier now. See the main page for instructions.
ME3Tweaks version 8.2.4 (Dec 30 version of build 133) The only other weapons-related mod I have for LE3 is N8 Weapons Remix for LE3 (current version as are all other mods).
Upgraded this mod to 1.2 but now it's failing when I attempt to apply I got the above error. Am I correct that in order to get it to work now I need to blow away all the other mods I have and then revert the game to vanilla (because that's not happening) and start all over again? Link to log:
You have the 133 build of ME3Tweaks which is currently bugged. Downgrade to the 132 and the mod will install correctly. You also need to restore your game from backup beforehand.
Something wrong happened to mod. When I tried install it into Calibrated Edition, warning about mod merging ammoaddmerge.m3m error appeared. What's is that mean?
After the ME3Tweaks update this seek I'm no longer able to install this mod properly. It starts to install, then gives an error. Looking at my installs, it says that it's installed, but I think it was bugging my game.
I am unsure if it is behaviour from this mod or not, but getting ammunition capacity upgrades at the Shadow Broker terminal and from ammunition powers does not seem to increase the ammunition capacity of weapons.
Thanks for this. The way thermal clips worked in ME2 and 3 always bugged me how you could partially reload from a pool of clips.. made no sense, like shepard is carrying HUNDREDS of those not-small thermal clips around in some insivible luggage or rucksack. Your solution is how I imagined thermal clips would / should work.. 1 clip to fully charge a weapon, reloading a partial clip loses it and forces the use of a whole new one. Works great (and I also like it forces me to no longer be wasteful by always reloading a 1/2 empty clip)
Some weapons seem to not benefit from heatsinks (so far the only one I have encountered is the Graal) - given it shoots flechettes I guess it´s intended? Other similar weapons such as Kishock or Javelin do benefit however. The Graal is missing on the delta config for heatsinks on.
Universal Thermal Clips and Classic Heatsink are compatible with N8 Weapons Remix, so I'm optimistically crossing my fingers and giving this a shot since it's created by the same author, whose mods tend to be incredibly functional. I have a huge list to install, so I may not play LE3 for a few days. Hopefully, I'll remember to return with an actual answer.
Only think to keep in mind is that the Universal Thermal Clips setting will override N8´s ammo pool changes (as it replaces them all with an universal one). All other changes work regardless of which options you set etc.
