In my past play throughs Balak is back in LE3 and is the highest ranking member of the Batarian navy. Shepard talks Balak out of killing him and into giving the Alliance access to the remaining Batarian war assets for the final battle against the Reapers (Take Back Earth).
If Balak dies in LE1, does anyone know if some other Batarian takes his place in LE3?
This, for some reason, does not work for me. I've tried with and without the Black Market License to get it to work yet it still doesn't. Any clue on an update? Seems others have a similar issue.
This mod seems to be not compatible with Black Market License (LE1). They both modify the same file, BIOA_UNC52_05_DSG.pcc, and BML has a higher mounting priority so it overwrites changes made by this mod. Perhaps vegz can collaborate with the author of BML to create a compatibility patch to be included with BML.
Same. I kill him. The door to the scientists is marked with a quest ! marker. The scientists inside are charred corpses. I also have the BML mod installed, so maybe the overlap Lavallet mentioned is the issue.
disabling the Black-Market mod before the final fight works, and allows this mod to work as long as you make a save after you kill Balak and before you reenable the Black-Market mod. However, doing it this way can be a really buggy during the ending cut scene. My suggestion, start a new LE1 campaign without the Black-Market mod enabled do the Falling Skies mission right out of the gate then enable the Black-Market mod right after.
After reading the bit about both modifying same file, left a comment over on BML. Got reply late but they were unaware about the conflict, hopefully patch soon for us all!
I dont even have the black market mod and this still doesnt work, am i not supposed to choose to kill him/am i missing something? i believe ive tried killing him at the first dialogue chance, as well as going through what i think is the whole dialogue (i have to make a choice) but apparently im either not doing it right, or something else is happening with the mod. does anyone have any ideas what i could do? Im going to continue my current save and just deal with the miners and balak being dead but id like the ability to save them and still kill balak in future playthroughs.
Hey Vegz I uploaded a save before the eden prime easter egg with a log and I'm doing the same with a save for kill balak and save hostages with a save and log also. Already know about black market mod not working with kill Balak but I disabled that mod and it still doesn't work. Hope this helps you fix the 2 great mods not working anymore.
If Balak is dead and the hostages are saved, what will happen with the news report in ME2 regarding the events of Asteroid X57? Will it not trigger, or will it play the memorial version?
Hello, any news for sinternational translations? (I'm French) Failing that, could you copy the English version for other languages (I don't mind having a few sentences in English in the game for my language).
Does leaving him for the Alliance not count as taking him out? I have taken the Kill him option, said leave him for the Alliance and saved the Hostages. But if i look at it with the Trilogy Save Editor it says Hostages saved (Balak alive) Will this work in ME3 then? That he is considered Dead?
