    Hi there! I have what may be a strange request. I really want to use this mod, but there is just one feature I don't like: having to play Firewalker before Overlord becomes available. I absolutely hate the Firewalker DLC and would sooner dance with a goat than play it again. Is there any way for me to bypass this requirement, maybe through a cheat or something, and still use your mod? I don't care about lore or consistency, I just hate the Hammerhead and would like to drive it as little as possible.

      Delaying Overlord with this mod is optional and no matter which option you choose for delaying it, they only require finishing the first Firewalker quest, not the entire DLC.

    I don't know how crazy of a request this is, but is there any way you can create a patch to work with the Pinnacle Station Apartment mod?
    I would really like to include it, but it's incompatible with your mod which is crucial IMO.

      The past year has been s#*! IRL and many of my modding projects have not advanced as much as I had planned/wished to.       Alright, well thanks for the reply. I was just hoping it could be enabled through an email or some sort of simple patch. Good luck with your mod; it looks great!

      I made a small mod for a much simpler coded game and understand how pushy people can be. Thanks for everything you've done!

      A bit of a late reply, but there is an alternative apartment mod that is compatible for this mod and made by this modder as well. It's not stated on the mod page, but it works for me, and I have a lot of mods installed. I installed this mod first, then the Extended Galaxy Map, then the Interactive Intai'sei Apartment last.

    Could I somehow manually remove Crash site from this mod? I'm using Legion module of early recruitment and love to have him when I meet the council. And I love to do that first thing. Everything else I love about this mod (and wouldn' mind the Crashsite thing if not for my guy Legion, because your explenation of the delay makes perfect sense). Or does Zaeed loyalty count as Mission to unlock Crash site? If it does, I can do that first.

      Any quest that triggers the "Mission Complete" screen with the Illusive Man will count to unlock the Crash site. So yes, Zaeed's loyalty would work, or for example any other N7 mission around the Omega Cluster (like Lost Cerberus Operative on Lorek) while heading to Alchera to find your robofriend 😃

      The decription said Main mission, which I assumed was a dossier/ loyalty, but was usnure if Zaeed/Kasumi count toward that. Thanks for the response.

      Yeah, I can see how that phrasing is confusing. I meant to exclude quests like helping Ken on Omega, or the fish for the krogan on the Citadel. But yes, Kasumi and Zaeed both count.

    May you add another option to delay the Collector Ship mission?

    In the original ME2 before any of its DLC came out, one of the triggers for the Collector Ship was this: Shepard had recruited eight squad mates into his team.  In the original ME2, that meant Shepard had to recruit two from the three remaining dossiers (Tali, Thane and Samara) to satisfy that trigger condition.

    The DLC added Kasumi and Zaeed, who could be and are usually recruited before Horizon.  Together, Jacob + Miranda + Kasumi + Zaeed + Mordin + Garrus + Grunt + Jack = 8 recruits.  That means, for the post-DLC ME2, the trigger is activated right away after Horizon.  The Collector Ship mission could trigger even if Tali, Thane and/or Samara are not in Shepard's team.

    Another trigger for the Collector Ship mission is the 5-mission countdown after Horizon.  So, if Shepard recruited Tali + Thane + Samara, he had already done three out of the five missions.   It actually messed up the pacing quite a bit: a gradual build-up to Horizon, (after having recruited Mordin + Garrus + Grunt + Jack and likely Kasumi + Zeed as well,) then a very brief interval between Horizon and the Collector Ship, and then a prolonged and drawn out section between the Collector Ship and Reaper IFF.  The timing between Hozion-Collector Ship and Collector Ship-Reaper IFF seems to be unbalanced.  In the full post-DLC ME2: Too little time between Horizon and Collector Ship, and too drawn out between Collector Ship and Reaper IFF.  (I know players can choose when to proceed with Reaper IFF, but mots players will want to complete most everything before IFF because IFF triggers the Suicide Mission.) 

    IMO, the "8 recruits" trigger should be adjusted for the DLC to become "10 recruits", (i.e., Kasumi + Zaeed = additional 2.)  That should give more time and leeway for players to level up and prepare for the Collector Ship, which is a difficult mission.

    P.S. It is too late for my (first and only) playthrough because I am already past that point.

      Delaying non DLC quests is out of scope from this mod. Moreover, I don't fully agree with your reasoning. Zaeed was Day 1 free DLC for Mass Effect 2, so his recruitment always was a possibility from the start.

      From what you're describing, I think the Trigger Buttons mod is what you're after, which allows you to manually trigger/delay all critical path quests once you've reached the requirements for them.

    Hello!

    Quick question: even if I complete the two Liara missions, I sitll have to complete Horizon to get the email, read it and trigger the DLC, right?

    I wanted to complete Liara's DLC before Horizon, I did both missions to help her on Illium but I didn't recive the email from Cerberus Intel.

      That's correct. The original DLC didn't allow for it to happen before Horizon, and also lacks key lines for narratively making sense happening so early. All dialogue paths assume at least Horizon and Collectors were physically met before. If I remember correctly this both applies to the Shadow Broker himself and Liara.

    Hey there thank you for making this mod, I am running into a similar issue that King DustinII had with Arrival's timing although in my case it simply is not appearing whatsoever, I had it set to appear after both Horizon and the collector base but it is not appearing after I completed the suicide mission. I tried leaving the ship and coming back but it still did not show up. I also tried a fresh install of this mod to the latest version since I was using an older version from 2022 but I still am running into the same issue. I don't think I have any mods that are conflicting the only one that comes to mind would as a possibility is the Anderson and Hackett Consistency mod since it alters Hackett's appearance but it could just be me grasping at straws. I'm pretty sure I first installed this mod before I entered the Normandy the first time on the savegame I'm currently using. If its alright would you mind taking a look at my diagnostic files to see if there's something causing this?

    The shadowbroker dlc and overlord triggered properly on both my current savegame and on another newer savegame I started last month. Its only Arrival that I'm having this problem with. I also read in the uninstallation portion of the mod page that unistalling causes delayed dlcs to immediately unlock, do you think that could be an option for getting Arrival to appear? It maybe a bit janky but I would be ok with uninstalling this mod to cause it to appear then reinstalling it after I played Arrival if that is what it comes too.

      I've been inspecting this in detail and do not see anything obviously being in conflict to affect the Arrival timer. There's however a great discrepancy between some mod versions and a few incompatibilities that will become actual problems if you try to start a new playthrough. As a result, I suggest you trying to update all of your mods to the most up to date version and consider whether you want the Prologue Framework or GIDUM (there's currently no patch between both mods). I am not sure how the outdated versions could cause issues, but seeing some stuff seems to be using their 2022 versions, while others use 2024 ones, I can only suggest ensuring everything is up to date.

      Alternatively, you can just disable (no need to uninstall; although both options are accessible from the Manage Target button on the Mod Manager) DLC Timings temporarily to ensure the Arrival triggering.

      If nothing works, can you submit a new diagnostic and attach your savegame this time?

      So I updated all of my mods to their most recent version and I fired it up but still ran into the same issue, I also disabled the dlc timing mod and Arrival still didn't trigger so I ran a new diagnostic and selected the option to attach my save game information so hopefully it is attached.

      I do have a new theory for what happened though, when I attached my save game file, I realized that the first save is from 2021 and I think I may have downloaded this mod before I got to Horizon but because it was after I boarded the Normandy for the first time that may have messed with the triggers for Arrival but I remember layer of the shadow broker and overlord triggering at the right time so if this is indeed the cause I'm surprised it was just arrival that got messed up. Then again this is all conjecture on my part, would you still be willing to take a look at the new diagnostic? Also thank you for the help you have given me so far, I really appreciate it.

      OK, so I am checking your savegame and the quest is already granted and pointing you towards going to Aratoth. I wonder if you originally installed this mod after you got the call from Hackett back in 2021. The mod does not retroactively edit already granted missions.

      In any case, just in case you wanted to play Arrival all from the beginning and since I was already checking your savegame; here's an edited copy of your savegame to replace yours, which has the start of the DLC undone for you (the call with Hackett). The moment the savegame is loaded you should get a pop-up notification telling you to check your messages terminal and Kelly will also announce it.

      Thanks, I've not actually installed a downloaded savegame before, is it just like installing a mod normally into ME3Tweaks mod manager?
      Or do I need to open up the file and unzip it to Documents > Bioware > Mass Effect Legendary Edition > Save > ME2 then copy paste it to replace the original savegame?

    "This can be done before Horizon, but the trigger for Overlord won't happen after that." - What does this actually mean? Do I HAVE to do Rosalie Lost before Horizon for Overlord to trigger after it or can I do Rosalie Lost after Horizon and still have Overlord trigger?

    "Requires getting the Hammerhead in advance" - By that I assume you mean Prior Horizon; but if I acquire the Hammerhead after Horizon will I be locked out of Overlord?

    For reference I'm using the mod options that you recommended in a previous comment.

      Hi! Sorry for the confusion. Let me clarify. Overlord will not trigger until 2 conditions are met. The first of them is to play Rosalie Lost to acquire the Hammerhead (which can be done before Horizon as the timing of this quest was not modified, but also after). The second condition is to reach the normal time that Overlord would trigger in a vanilla game, which would be after Horizon if that install option was chosen.

      I hope this clarifies it.

    Hello. Love the mod for the most part, however I am running into an issue with Arrival's timing. The Overlord DLC is properly triggering according to how I have set it when installing the mod i.e Overlord post Horizon, and Lair of the Shadow broker's timing is working fine as well. I have Arrival set to trigger after both Lair of the Shadow Broker and the Suicide Mission, but I'm still getting hijacked by Hackett as soon as I finish Horizon.

      Ok, after more than hour pulling my hairs out, because I could not see what was wrong in my mod, I have just discovered that this mod is overriding all the internal mechanics of mine: Alternative behaviour of LE2 NewGame bonuses. I suggest you to Disable (not delete) this mod right after you get your bonuses. My mod has several routines running through the Normandy at all times and this other mod is overriding all of my edits.

      Unfortunately, you will need an earlier save before finishing Horizon; as the DLC timings are not retroactively edited.

      P.S.: I am checking, and this mod is actually overriding other mod of yours like Casual Hubs.

    Idk if this was just on my end but searching for updates on the mod manager didn't flag this mod as having an update.  If I hadn't caught that there was an update while browsing nexus, I probable would've run into problems with compatibility with the LE2 patch.

      This isn't the only mod Ive had not notify me of an update (through the mod manager) so I had to go through my entire mod list and look for updates manually.  It didnt take too long luckily.

      I've checked with Mgamerz and we can't reproduce this issue. Since taboopiano is mentioning other mods showing this buggy behavior, I wonder if the problem is somehow with Nexus. Our tests provided an update prompt for this mod.
