I love this SO MUCH. This is one of those things where I idly thought "man it'd sure be cool if..." and stumbled upon your mod shortly after, by chance, and thought "OH THAT'S PERFECT." Works wonderfully, adds a ton of immersion, is one of those mods that changes something to "how it should have been from the start." Seeing Saren as a regular Turian at first, and later on fully tubed up and glowing declaring that he'd let himself be "augmented" or whatever--chef's kiss. Thank you!
Saren is definitely one of the most important and strongest points of ME story, but he doesn't have that much of a screen-time, so one could think this mod is nothing game-changing.
Wrong!
Been playing with robes + less implants version and I have to say the change is HUGE. I love Saren as a villain, but now, with his deepening indoctrination affecting him visually as well, he just reached even higher level of greatness. His change over the course of the game is even more impactful, it also makes some moments of the story more believable (him looking like a normal turian during a Council meeting, not rising any suspicions). Fantastic mod, a true must-have for anyone lookin’ for ways to make this wonderful game even better.
Having been wanting to play the trilogy again, is there a mod for ME2 that can also customize the Saren statue you give to Hock during Kasumi's mission for consistency? Because it really wouldn't make sense for the statue to reflect his final cyborg appearance when the only one that really saw him like that was Shepard.
Love this mod! I was so sad though, it worked perfect at the beginning. Had the robes, the normal eyes and armor. Then Virmire he was already full robotic looking instead of the subtle robotic then full at the end. I didn’t change or add any other mods or anything in between so I’m not sure what happened. But it started out amazing!
Out of curiosity, are there any plans on making a version where Saren is wearing the red armor concept art, or at least the white armor version with red markings? Not really sure any assets like that exist in-game, almost looks like they were thinking of something akin to the red emperor's guard armor in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
Still no way to use Saren with implants with Diversification Project? I even tried to install the mod twice, the second time after Diversification Project so that it would be overwritten, but it doesn't work, neither does disabling the compatibility patch in DP.
I forget if it's been asked before, but do you think you could add an option for the eyes and lights to be green? Since Saren is the embodiment of Synthesis?
Feel free to make your own, but I will not be doing this.
If you want a reason read below, but I figured I'd save time for those who don't really care why lol.
I feel ME3 synthesis, deviated from where ME was going in so many ways. The original lead writer of the first 2 games who left at the beginning on ME3 had a much better ending that wasn't picked up I know the were a bunch of ideas, But I think the dark energy plot would have been perfect and made the series title make sense, made the reapers make sense, and was just chef's kiss good. Though it would have been hard to have Mass Effect 5 lol.
For me personally I will keep synthesis where it belongs (if it belongs at all lol), 3rd game only in my mods. Just my preference.
All of that said, a color change is not that difficult to learn if you want to make your own personal version.
I love this I'm going to try this right away. I haven't played ME in forever but my experience so far in the legendary edition is a bit weird. I honest to god thought Seren didn't look this moded out in the beginning of the game. It's almost goofy no one things anything is wrong with him when his face and eyes are all glowy and mechanical... Like did I just imagine him being less modified when I was younger? I've been so confused. The robes look amazing. I can't wait.
No freaking way. I have looked for a mod like this on and off for years. If I had any kind of modding ability this is the mod I would have made. I pretty much gave up on it ever being a thing, and now I just stumble on it by accident. Can't wait to try it out, this looks amazing. Thank you for making this a reality. It seems small, but I think it really takes away from the believability of the first game that Saren looks like a crazy cyborg right out of the gate.
The load order is before diversification project, so only way to make compatible is to change that mod as far as I know.
I shared my files with that mod author and I recall them saying due to the sheer number of options and other things that mod covers only the base armor robes options are supported, meaning no less implants options.
My apologies mate, i went over to LE1 diversification page and read through the description and it explains the issue and how to resolve it, sorry for pinging you!
I know this is late, but to the description on the LE1 Diversification Project states for Saren Stages: 'Due to the complexity of how many options Saren Stages has, only 2 basic options are currently supported: Armour or Robes, both with "Less Implants". This patch only affects Saren's early appearances during Eden Prime & the Council Meeting. The full range of options will be supported at a later date.'
Basically, you re-apply the mod, click the option at the very top that has Saren Stages and pick either the ROBES or the ARMOR option. Hope this helps.
To add to this, the solution is to install Seren Stages first, then LE1 Diversification Project and manually select each relevant patch. In my case I had to select both the Saren Stages (Robes) option and the Same Gender Romances (Robes) option before everything was working properly.
Hi so I installed this (among other mods), completely by the instructions, and yet Saren hasn't changed on Eden Prime? I double checked and the files are where they should be, so the mod manager is working correctly.
Any ideas? Ideally I don't want to reinstall because I've done ALOT so a reinstall will take like, a whole extra day to deal with.
EDIT: I reinstalled it through the launcher with the exact same options and it works now! Fortunately ALOT didn't s#*! itself - yet anyway. I'm gonna leave this comment here in case anyone else has a similar issue
Can you safely install this after Alot? Is that the proper way? While I understand this a (mostly?) texture mod, the proper install order, as I've read at least, is "Content Mods" then "Texture Mods".
No, please disregard the misleading comment above, this is a content mod and should be installed before texture mods like ALOT.
Any mod in DLC format installed by Me3Tweaks Mod Manager is a content mod with meshes, materials textures animations etc... (these can contain their own updated textures but are packaged in a way to make them content mods).
Mods in .mem format are texture mods and only contain textures.
not to necro an ancient problem, but im having an issue and im not sure whats causing it. Ive made sure LE Improvements was synced with my selected SS choice, so i assumed it was a problem with ALOT but i cant seem to pin it, Saren still looks like his default on Eden Prime.

This is causing conflicts with the latest update for LE1 diversification project, any chance of a patch?
