The newest update is that this mod now REQUIRES LE2 unofficial patch and LE2 Prologue Framework to work. The old version is still available in 'old files' if you prefer that but I recommend using the framework. It's awesome.
It should be noted that if you use it with cerberus/alliance consistency then during the miranda and illusive man conversation, and if you've chosen to use the Miranda uniform option from that mod, her hair will be vanilla. After that it integrates the two and she'll wear the uniform and also have my hair options during the cerberus facility prologue. That was as far as I tested the uniform. So I recommend going with casual hubs uniform instead.
P.S. I am not off my hiatus but I had a moment and I really wanted to upload a compatible version for the prologue framework patch because of how incredible it is. Seriously. It's great. And also I wanted to make the Jack hairstyle mod compatible with Casual Hubs. So after this, and provided there aren't any issues I missed, I'll be done for the foreseeable future.
I'm really grateful to all of you who have been patient with me regarding the mess that my mods have been. I'm truly sorry these mods of mine weren't as pristine as I would have liked, or I'm sure as anyone would have liked, but I'm very thankful with how wonderful people were. :)
I'm assuming you mean changing her hair with something you feel might look good? Like from another mod for personal use? That requires the use of blender. It's not something I would do good at explaining. But you need blender because you not only have to fit the hair to her head, or it'll clip, but also connect it to the hairstyle bones.
There are tutorials that can help if you feel like you want to dedicate the time. https://www.youtube.com/user/moscachan/videos <---Munchyfly has a lot of tutorials about working with blender for Mass Effect. https://github.com/ME3Tweaks/LegendaryExplorer/wiki/A-guide-to-editing-Character-Meshes <---If you look to the right there is a lot of tutorials to choose from.
Is the classy bun different now? In the pictures the hair goes around the ear, but when I use it doesn't. I would post a screenshot, but don't know how.
Not sure what ERS is so I will have to say no. I'm also (not sure) but mostly sure project variety is a higher priority so I can't make a patch for it. I also don't have compatibility plans in the future. Next update will be a blonde version for Miranda for LE3 when I can get around to it. Best way to get this to work with Project Variety is, when the options happens, don't choose anything for Miranda with that mod. I believe it gives you options for each character. But it's not patched for either of those mods and I don't see that happening in the future.
In looking into it ERS is a higher priority. Sorry. The reason I don't plan compatibility patches for this mod is that, usually, the mod in question is a higher priority which means I can't. That, or it adds too much bulk for this mod considering it's three different options. (In hindsight that was probably a mistake.)
Arghhhhh, Miranda looks too damn ✨cute✨ with the Shepard's Cheerleader hair, so I'll have to deal with it. The pics by Edaiins really sold me on it. Here's hoping ERS and the PV romance scenes just ignore your mod and play as they should
I'd suggest using the default (classy bun) or even beautiful dame. That way if her hair reverts to vanilla it won't look so strange vs shepards cheerleader which bangs simply wouldn't make sense with the original hairstyle which is more in line with the two previous mentions.
Alright I posted it but I recommend a reshade because the lighting in darker places isn't all that flattering. Pictures are at the end of this mod for people to see.
I like the bun but it reveals the ugly neck that is normally covered with long hair. but all options where neck is visible it comes out. I know this is not texture fix mod. But it always creeps me out when zooming closer :D Hairs itself are awesome.
Hey, I have a problem and I don't have the Miranda + LE2 patch option when installing. All the others seem to work but with the Miranda hairstyle I only get errors as soon as I install textures
Do you have the prologue framework installed? The latest update will not work without it. Also make sure you have the le2 patch. I tested the textures before uploading and it's working for me so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work for you and not give you the option to install it unless you're missing a mod it requires.
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I have both and I just don't have an option for Miranda + LE2 patch. I only get Miranda + LE2 patch no visor, Hubs or + Hubs uniform and for the Cheerleader and Beautiful Dame hairstyles I get all the options and they work.
omg...! lol I'm so sorry I was kind of confused by what was being asked.
So basically Miranda + LE2 patch isn't available because it is literally the default install, if that makes sense? Basically if you don't plan on using cheerleader or dame you just don't click on any of those and just click install. If you're wanting to use the clsy hair and casual hubs then you would just have to click on the Miranda + hubs and so forth. Am I making sense? I'm terrible at explaining things so I wouldn't blame you if you were like 'yeah, no.' But basically clicking on cheerleader or dame overwrites the clsy bun and it's not an option because it only requires that you click to install it so it's already automatically selected in a way.
(Is it just me or does the second attempt to explain sound worse than the first?????) lol let me know if I'm making sense.
I understand what you mean but if I only have Miranda + Hubs and Miranda + LE2 Patch no visor Installed I get an error message when I install textures. With the other two hairstyles it works without any problems.
I know textures are added at the end so that's not the problem.
Alright, I've tested this and it should work for you now but let me know because I could've sworn I had this working before and I'm not sure what I did to change that but I've tested everything (all options) their all working with mem and I think I've finally got it all working together.
Sorry if this is a tiresome question, but how goes the progress for the ME3 version of this mod? I have not tried it yet, but I was hoping to try it when it was further along. no rush, just curious.
Don't know why I missed this comment but here's my answer:
With the framework, it's done. Without the framework it's basically done.
I haven't had any complaints about it and the only reason I call it 'alpha' is because I haven't tested it as thoroughly as I do with the rest of my stuff but it all appeared to work just fine. I keep it as 'alpha' however because it's not something I have time to really test out. Especially since it's three versions of hair and that requires three different testing runs and I reserve testing time for the framework versions because those are the ones I planned on moving forward with for patches or additional content type of thing. And LE3 without framework I posted for people willing to give it a test for themselves as I was never going to have the time to fully test it. But no one has ever commented on whether 'yes it works all throughout the game' or 'no it stops working at some point or doesn't work at all.' So, as people have downloaded it and I haven't gotten complains about the 'without framework' version, for me, that means it must be working fine. But I'll never take it out of alpha because I, myself, haven't tested it.
LE3 with framework doesn't have any issues that I currently know of. I did have one person comment that it's broken for the citadel because her hair reverts to vanilla but I think that person may have accidentally downloaded a 'hair down' version by accident. In which case I deliberately made it so she would have her hair up for everything else except the casino dress. Cheerleader and dame versions I created unique hair's for whereas clsy bun just has her vanilla hair.
If your asking me whether I plan to patch this for other mods the answer as of now is no. Mostly because most mods have higher priority than this one and would have to be the patcher. So instead what I did was put open permissions for my mod so that mod authors could simply take the hair, whether they were higher priority or not, and use it in their mod if they had any desire to.
Anything that uses miranda's files would conflict. The best way to get them working together is by not using project variety's miranda option. But, even then, I'm not sure how much that helps. I haven't tested it with project variety or diversification project. But I think it likely has a better chance of working with project variety over diversification unless the latter doesn't touch the miranda files. If that were the case then it should actually work with diversification project no problem.
I do believe I have tested it with the citadel epilogue mod and didn't have problems. But this was practically a year ago I think so I'm not 100% sure.
Hello. Thank you for this mod, the hairstyles are awesome!
I'm running into an issue getting Shepard's Cheerleader to work with the Casual Hubs Uniform option. I can get the Bun and Beautiful Dame working with the Hubs Uniform, but not Shepard's Cheerleader. The hairstyle gets applied but Miranda is wearing her default outfit. I select them in this order when applying: SC + LE2 Patch -> SC + Hubs Uniform -> SC + LE2 Patch no visor (same result with or without the no visor option).
Additionally, I've tried restoring the game to default and installed mods in this order to test things:
Unofficial LE2 Patch LE2 Prologue Framework Casual Hubs for LE2 (only Cerberus Uniform for Miranda selected) Miranda Hair Replacer (Shepards Cheerleader + LE2 Patch -> Shepards Cheerleader + Hubs Uniform)
Load up the game and Miranda has the Shepard's Cheerleader hairstyle but default outfit. Close game and apply the mod again with either of the following and both hairstyles work correctly with the Hubs Uniform:
Miranda + Hubs Uniform or Beautiful Dame + LE2 Patch -> Beautiful Dame + Hubs Uniform
Alright 3.1 should fix this problem. I apologize and hope you didn't waste too much time trying to figure out the problem. It was a rather simple problem in that I didn't add the uniform files for the cheerleader hair like I meant to. I try to keep things organized but the reality is that I'm a rather messy modder. So mistakes like these on my end aren't all that surprising. Maybe you saw the nightmare of a mod this was in the very beginning?
Anyways, I'm very sorry and hope you manage to enjoy the update. I'm also sorry for the late response but thank you for pointing out that it wasn't working! :)
P.S. I'm ecstatic to see someone wanting to use the cheerleader hair! I feel like beautiful dame and shepards cheerleader don't quite get the love they deserve sometimes lol.
Hey, no worries at all. I really appreciate you taking a look at this. It is working now! This hairstyle is definitely my favourite :)
I only started modding recently so I wouldn't have seen earlier versions. I totally get you though with regard to keeping things organized. Sometimes it's so easy to just go and do things and worry about organization/documentation later, and then it doesn't get done lol.
I hate to be a bother... Feel free to tell me to take a hike if this is out of line! I'm using some texture mods and so when doing the initial texture map in MEM, I'm getting the error at the bottom with these options:
I get the same error (some of the numbers vary) with the same options above but for Beautiful Dame. I do not get the error with Shepards Cheerleader and Beautiful Dame if dropping the LE2 Patch no visor option. Additionally, I do not get the error if selecting these options:
Miranda + Hubs Uniform Miranda + LE2 Patch no visor
Alright so I uploaded a new version 3.2 and I think I've eliminated the problem. I even installed the mem myself to see if any errors would pop up and I didn't get any. Please let me know if the problem persists but I think this one should solve it and hopefully, by now, you'll finally be able to enjoy this mod! :)
yeesh this miranda mod, am I right?? (Kind of matches Miranda's attitude towards shepard in the prologue.) Guess it's perfect for her. hahah... Yeah... I'm not gonna, like, quit my day job to become a comedian or anything... don't worry. ...lol.
I saw an image posted by a user on this mod's page using ''classy'' hair, how do I use ''classy'' instead of ''classy bun'' English is not my native language, so I was very confused
