What version of Warband do you have? The WSE that comes with the mod is for 1.143. It happened to me aswell and I installed version 1.143 and, when I copied the files into that main directory it worked.
I agree, this mod held SO much potential, unfortunatly, the game is unplayable for me for several reasons.
The first and major one, is while the change in the word text is AWESOME, it also makes trying to see how much you owe money wise almost impossible, at the best, extremely challenging.
While the sword strikes are pretty cool, the two handed style seems so choppy it just looks...bad.
The textures for the weapons seem to be missing a few pieces, as the weapons tend to flicker while being swung. With an overhand two handed strike, the blade itself actually dissapears, and then reapears at the end of the strike. Not huge, but noticible, and highly irritating.
I also found the text front cool, but almost impossible to read. I downloaded a front customizer and its actually possible to readhttp://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1503
To any and all, Who have problems with trying to make this game run with there Steam Warband game here are the step needed.
1. Go to Taleworld and download the Mount&Blade Warband there. 2. install TW Warband. 3. Move the Mount&Blade:Warband Exe to Steam and if prompted replace the steam Exe (i suggest renaming the Steam Exe in case you want to have steam up and not going to place on this Mod) 4.Get the latest WSE that runs with the latest M&B:W. 5. Run WSE and ding. no problems. (but due to the Patch of Sengoku not being out to grab the game is not very good as it is littered with Red Error's in the game.)
The reason behind replacing the steam version of M&B:W is to the fact that it is not updated to the 1.153, That right Steam lied. and to those that ain't steam.
1. Follow the frist two steps. 2. Replace your copy of M&B:W exe. 3. Get the latest of WSE. 4. Run WSE and enjoy. ------------------------------------------------ Also the creator of this mod, Tried to make a voting poll to what he should do, "Single or online play" But after the Vote went mostly to Single he made a poor excuse and decided to go for Online play, But if he doing Multi or single right now is unknown at this time. ------------------------------------------------- Someone was kind to make a Alt location to download the Patch http://www.mediafire.com/?5r596cwnn1n7ine (This was not done by Woyo, but one of the people who noticed the Patch was gone and was kind enough to place it on Mediafire, So give your thanks to him and to Woyo for making the patch but not giving a new link to download it from.)
I just downloaded the mod for the steam version and it just crashes to desk-top as soon as I start a new game. I have tried installing the script extender, but its not working
