The random encounters crash is an old bug introduced in 3.1 patch for the original mod.
The work around: - Don't investigate random encounters - Disable them in the menu (Overword screen -> Camp -> Gekokujo options-> Random encounters [Click until it says, "Random Encounters Disabled" ]).
Or take a minor chance that investigating random encounters might cause a crash...
I used the 3.1 version because it has siege gates on the castles and I feel it brings more to the game play. (both gates and encounters have toggles)
First, have an updated win-rar for extraction. ( thanks to slite_bg for the notice )
slite_bg Apr 13 2019All right, just to clarify and for everyone having the 'corrupted archive issue' it's as simple as installing the latest version of WinRAR. That solved it for me. Cheers
Second, overwrite files in the game folder. If you have no overwrite conflicts then double check install location, because we're overwriting original files from original Gekokujo 3.1.
Also, make sure original mod works first, and there are no other sub-mods present, or installed with it..
Going to Factions -> List of known lords by relation will always show an empty list. I installed Gekokujo 3.1 to see if this is an issue with the original mod, and no, it works in that mod, when you meet a leader they will show up as they should. If anyone knows a fix to this, please advise.
Hey man, do you know how on earth i can add the ability to change faction colors, i played daimyo edition and it had it, i did a bit of digging and found it it used to be its own little submod back when gekokujo first dropped but since then i havent found any clues on how to obtain it or get it running in hatamoto, having it would be great for late game quality of life improvements.
It wasn't intended to work much other mods... as it changes a lot "under the hood" so to speak. But... swapping *some* of the .txt files will still work like skins.txt for example. However this is just one of the rare few .txts that are not modded in such a way it will break everything else.
I'm not able to endorse this mod for the following reasons:
It has two really bad scenes that you will always get if you are near a road or a town that are both dreadful to fight in. The perk system is so vaguely defined I'm not willing to touch it. The landholding/renting system is as far as I can tell non-functional.
Mostly the lack of fixing the minor things wrong with vanilla GK but also the new scenes make this currently a pass.
Thank you for the submod. I really love the additions, they are very fresh and breathtaking, perks and ordering weapons from the weaponsmith and the slow down when attacking and defending. I only wish there would be less rice fields. As cities and villages and castles are quite densely packed, you almost always play in rice fields.
There are two field scenes based on distance from settlements and type of settlement. Further away from settlements the scenes are more wild. Closer there are city scenes like in pictures. Also, sometimes there is a bugged vanilla scene that happens, hope to fix when I can, but life.
Hi, thanks for the mod. I have a question, can i transfer lunge ability to other mods somehow? Cause i can't understand which file(or code maybe) does this.
Probably not, the lunge was compiled with different files being used. Also, the script was written from the ground up, thus it'll be more complex for reverse engineering.
When I launched a battle with bandits, my game freezes and CTD, and it does this whenever I launch battles, when I decided to head to the market or wander the streets of a town, it works fine, it only crashes during the battle menu
got some error code when being disarmed while using guns /disarming people when they use a gun, the game lagging when there is a pact/war between two clan, i suddenly got 4000000 mon when doing jobs at city, . aaand i cant die wich is good but i cant get out/run from battle while was ganked and cant run because i always falling before my character hp is restored sorry forgot the error code or the ss since when i ss game on my pc, it only comes up blank pictures sorry for bad english
There's a glitch where if you are crossing the sea in a boat and get into a fight with bandits, you will end up fighting in the village scene/map instead of the ship one (possibly because you're too close to a village?) which doesn't make any sense. Either that, or you will end up fighting in this strange scene/map where you're standing at the edge of a void (which is basically an extension of the skybox) on a large plain, basically spawning right next to the enemy party. Also, the game gives a script error which causes it to crash if you get the random encounter where you find enemies hiding in the bushes (particularly with the ronin helper?). Also villager recruits don't require any wages but I don't know if that's intentional.
